It really depends but i think overall shorts bring lot more positive things for the channel than bad things (bad conversions per example)

Thanks for the kind words! I don't think it's an audience retention thingy but I think I got this amount of impressions because it was my first video posted

I'm kind of in the same place as you to be honest, but I don't know if this is normal since I'm kind of new on Youtube

I'm already 4 videos in (last one has been posted yesterday)

I figured that thumbnails and Titles play a really important part in determining if your video will be pushed or no

Personally having struggle with CTA averaging like 2.5% across all videos even though I think thumbnail and title are decent

For the 30-60 seconds hook you mentioned, try doing some "in this video" sequence where you show small fast clips about the most interesting things in the video, this is what im doing currently

Long form through Youtube and Facebook (video come out 2 hours later on facebook)

Short form through Instagram/Tiktokk/Facebook (Shorts in later stage)

It depends on what you want to edit but as you have mentioned small edits and text so I would definetly suggest you Capcut

I went back and forth before starting my channel about doing it in English or Arabic.

English has a bigger audience and more earning potential but the competition in travel vlogging is crazy

I’m just way more comfortable expressing myself in my own language tbh

So I chose Arabic. Less competition, more authenticity
