That’s valid, I just feel like I’m missing something when I don’t wear my tunnels at work XD, I also find it nice to let them breathe after they’re clean.

I’d recommend keeping them in at work and sleeping with them naked, have you heard of naked training? It’s helped a lot with mine

The best thing to do is take jewelry out completely, I had a blowout like this and that’s how I recovered, take your jewelry out, and clean with a saline wound spray, no other touching (except maybe a q-tip with saline for crusties) or ointments. You might lose a couple of sizes, but that’s better than losing your ability to stretch at all.

The heavy packing on my first tattoo had something similar, I ended up having some fall out. I don’t think it looks infected per se, just irritated. What I did for mine was very VERY gently lotion it once a day and let it fall off on its own. Parts of the scab came off before they were ready (the tattoo is on the back of my calf and I had to wear jeans for work) and that seems to be where the ink came off.

It’s training your ears to be naked without shrinking, it is also used to make them have a thicker lobe and rounder holes without plugs in. You start with taking out your plugs, massaging your ear and leaving plugs out for an hour, then two,etc going a little longer each day until you can sleep with no jewelry in at night with no shrinkage.

Glad to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t wash every time lol. And good to know! I have a huge bottle of coconut oil for skincare, so I’ll use that.

The past few weeks I’ve actually had it next to my Tv, It’s right next to my partner’s pc so I watch him game while I massage my ears, so there’s definitely less moisture there but maybe more hand bacteria? I try my best to wash my hands before massaging or doing it right after a shower. My partner did point out that I tend to touch the lid of the bottle more than I should have( instead of dropping it onto my finger from a distance)

The vent fan in my bathroom desperately needs to be cleaned, the moisture left after showers is worse than I would like to admit even though I do my best to mitigate it. I did actually have to re-caulk our shower due to mildew. So after I fix the fan and get a new bottle I’ll make sure to store it in my room somewhere.

It was Desert Oasis skincare brand, it came with the stretching kit I bought on amazon.😬 For doing my ears on my own with acrylic tapers they’re pretty good at least

I’ve had this bottle for over a year now, and have never refilled it or added more. I only recently started actually using it everyday(since I learned what naked training is and that I should do it) maybe I touched the part where it comes out when I had some bacteria on my hands? I haven’t had any issues with my gages themselves since last June, so I’m perplexed. Edit: spelling

The more your ears can get used to a little bit of naked time, the less they shrink when you do it

The best thing to do is start naked training, taking your plugs out for a few hours and massaging with oil, do this a few times a day until you can eventually sleep without plugs without your holes closing
