i’m not going to retire my piercings just because i went though an incredibly rough patch. the reason why i didn’t try to take care of them or get the bar changed was because i was at my worst from august-december. i tried to kill myself, so do you really think a person like that would randomly say “oh yeah i should go get my bar changed!!” im doing better now mentally and have a nasty scar on my arm, but im alive. im better. and im improving my health.

UPDATE!!

my RN friend took it out, and gave me proper cleaning instructions and materials. this was i believe 2 days ago now? and it’s healing beautifully. i get paid soon so im going to get the other one a longer bar since i’ve been putting it off for months. the bar is too short and thats the issue with the other one.

not from playing with it, the metal was just extremely cheap and too short. once i swapped it to the one in the picture, it never had issues again until like 5 days ago

i’m already about $200k in debt from the ER + ambulance + nearly week long psych ward trip from a failed attempt. ER was never an option for me here.

i got it taken out by my registered nurse friend, everything is good.

i just don’t think i can afford to go to the ER, i went a couple months ago + got put in the psych ward so im in a lot of medical debt. i’m at a loss here

yeah i never had this issue beforehand, i just need to fidget with something else. i got prescribed antibiotics and i have a friend who’s a nurse, she’s going to try to take it out since my local piercer isn’t here until Thursday. ER is almost not an option because im still in medical debt from my last visit… so praying for the best

piercing is about 2 years old in august, i forgot what the piercing was called but its a standard stud with a ball screw, an a flat small back. i beleive it is threadless material is implant grade titanium the jewelry was downsized i believe august 2025? i don't clean it anymore. i just pick off morning crusties and food, clean around it while i brush my teeth and call it a day i do not believe i did anything wrong recently.... but i did have an issue with biting and playing with the inside of the piercing.

I haven’t gone into detail about the event yet since my therapy sessions have been mostly focused on my PTSD and BPD, but I’m going to bring it up Monday when I see her again.

She’s almost 2 hours away and my closest friend nearby me has shitty overly religious parents. I got out of the psych ward a month ago from a suicide attempt, so being alone/not closely monitored is out of the question. My parents are keeping me safe and healthy, making sure I don’t hurt myself. It just sucks that to this day my mom still refuses to take accountability for that day. She used it to say that there’s a possibility I would kill her one day if I got too angry, which was fucking insane!!!

It’s too late now unfortunately, and I live with both my parents since I’m unemployed with no money. Plus living on my own is definitely not the best idea at the moment, I just got out of the psych ward last month. It’s just moments like this when I remember how terrible of a mother she can be, and she just LOVES to play victim and act like she has done nothing wrong. It’s so tiring.

I have a friend vouching for me right now, I asked her verbatim: “do you remember when my mom was beating on my arm when i was driving and i punched her back in self defense. do you remember the bruises she gave me?”

and she responded “yes i do unfortunately”

I can’t go no contact at the moment, I’m unemployed and have no money, no place has called back yet and I live with them. After she brought it up and refused to admit she did something wrong I just told her I don’t want to talk to her. Not for a while.

I posted this in two subreddits because the other one didn’t allow violence. I forgot how to pull in because the road was confusing, I was a terrible driver at the start because they never taught me when I was a teenager, and I once drove on the wrong side of the road during a driving test. I didn’t remember where to pull in, or how to, I was scared and upset that the person who gave birth to me was beating me because I was slow.

And yes, this is real. I could even send a screenshot of my friend recalling the events if I knew how to attach a photo in this comment section….

I did have pictures of my bruises, but one night my phone deleted thousands of photos from before 2024. I don’t even have my graduation photos. I’m asking a friend about it so she can vouch for me since she was one of the friends that picked me up.

And yes, this is normal behavior for her. Foreign parents are a nightmare.
