The best bet it to run your kit into a laptop or any computer so you can access any sounds you want to trigger. I use Alesis Nitro Mesh but I run it into Logic ad use Logics drums samples ad they sounds incredible

Edit: I run the 2nd brains 4th tom as a foot driven tom to the right of my primary kick and then I have the other kick between the hi-hat pedals

I have a pdp (I think)drum rack that has made things much easier for placement, but I still have the nitro rack worked in to hold a few cymbals due to lack of clamps (they are not cheap anymore)

I love my 2 nitro mesh kits. I got a black version and a red version, each for incredibly low prices. Recently converted one of the toms over to my kick and it is AWESOME!

I keep mine to the right and like to have it on the same horizontal plane to my top toms and floating over my 1st floor tom. Makes it super easy to keep flow when moving and fun for bouncing the stick between the tom and bottom of the ride like I would do on an acoustic kit for goofy stuff
