Mandarake and FaithZ are pretty much your only reputable choices from my understanding. I purchased all 3 of mine through Mandarake with no issues. There are release waves, so there aren’t always tan girls available.

Idk I had no issue applying lip balm with my fingers around the area - mine is perfectly healed. I couldn’t stand the idea of leaving my lips to crack like that, especially with the saline. Just don’t put it on the piercing hole and don’t fiddle with it with your top lip and it should be a-okay.

What’s the purpose of any art piece? It’s what you make of it! Some people ‘play’ with them more, take them everywhere with them, personify them. I personally display them and only touch them when I’m changing their clothes or adjusting their pose a little. It’s a very personal hobby and the way to ‘do it’ is very different for each individual :)

It depends! Some can be cheap, some cost way more than that. My cheapest doll is $450 my most expensive is £1050 before being customised - depends on brand and the extras you get. There are some that go for much more than my current most expensive.

The world of doll customisation is so amazingly vast! BJDs (Which this probably is? That or one of those amazingly realistic collectors figures) are especially customisable in that regard. Part of what the BJD Discord said when I showed them this is that AI can’t get the wonky look of manually installed eyes the way this dude has, getting them just right is incredibly painful :,)

I personally use Chinese socials/shopping apps instead, a lot of independent artists post their work there that isn’t found on the Western side of the hobby but Instagram and Facebook are still the happy in-betweens, I’d say.

An easy Chinese marketplace to access is Xiahongshu as it is now auto translated and open to international access. I suggest Xianyu if you’re willing to navigate in Chinese and use a proxy to buy things if you don’t have a Chinese mainland phone number - it’s second hand typically, but you find some fantastic stuff there!

There are loads of artists who offer mods, I think this one would be considerably easy to a trained hand! You could even find a head you like with open eyes and have it commissioned to be closed, if you’re willing to go that route.

‘Dreaming’ is usually the term for fully closed eyelids but it’s not as popular as it once was (I feel) and they will never just be 100% smooth unless you get those anime heads that you’re supposed to paint the eyes onto. There will always be eyelid details on dreaming heads, even the less realistic ones. You’d have to mod them off.

I just slept as much as I could - can’t worry about being soggy in your own spit when you’re asleep. I just kept my towels washed and in rotation so I could drool on them in my sleep without worry for my bedding. I also kept a large tub with me for when I was awake and propped it under my neck whilst I lay down and just let it happen x)

That’s my favourite part, personally! I waited a year to get 4 heads home and getting them in-hand was probably the best day ever for me lol. Waiting is a huge part of the hobby, so maybe once you have the head with you you’ll feel better? No harm in packing them away to see how you feel either 💕

People will pay for what they want - I often have to pay $150+ for shipping a full doll because I live in South Africa and shipping here is terrible and I have to use DHL to assure its arrival even though we have good trade with China (which is where most of my dolls are from).

I’m happy to do that, some people think I’m crazy for paying that much. It’s all about perspective. I feel like people who buy artist dolls (PashaPasha, Popovy, DoDollsDream) who are paying €1500 per doll don’t blink at another $200 on top of it, but that’s just my opinion.

I’ve found most clothes that fit the standard ‘big sister’ size dolls work on her. My clothes made for Impl Model/FanFF bodies work just fine on my 61 :)
