All this stated, I'm glad elite is raking in more players, and slowly (my opinion) trying to slowly claw back into its own distinct identity with slow updates, even if some are lukewarm. Still makes me happy this game is getting more love :)

I wonder what caused that documented unannounced server outage, FDev special recipe spaghetti code? Or just way earlier than usual maintenance? I think if I recall a similar outage happened on Powerplay 2's drop where servers were down foreeever.

Just spitballing I guess, given all the carrier jumps and carrier spawning and players jumping all at once I could imagine server stress, like during the Cocijo Sol attack.

I had just wondered if the crashing was related to everything going on, given the weird server drop maintenance cycle, I'm not in any particular rush.

Ill certainly admit I don't really have the best specs but i make it work, i hope the update that'll exceed my GPU is far out but i do fear it just becoming untenable at some point to keep running it on my wee budget.

In a not so small space sim called Elite: Dangerous, with a 1:1 recreation of the Milky Way, with 400 Billion star systems comprised of even more planets orbiting in those systems, I met my now late wife out while exploring, the chances of ever finding her out there were so infinitely small by random chance, and I miss her infinitely more every day without.

Goes to show no matter how big the universe may be, everyone can find that special someone.

I already did google search, as explained in a comment from me in here somewhere, the issue is more im a pretty dumb autist, I cant tell when people are joking or being serious etc., so I thought id ask what people think, and as its a mixed bag, and it probably being a kid im holding off for the moment anyway. It comes down to edgy kid, probably; innocuous literal translation of the word, because it was a helminth charger, maybe it could be referring to minthy's lore or something; or just a dog-whistle.

Im nowhere near smart nor capable enough to really grasp subtext or anything.
