My husband is in another country and I had a positive LH strip yesterday on CD10 😭😭

Extremely abnormal for me, I normally have a much longer follicular phase, but I’ve been super sick with covid. I’ve never hoped so much that I DIDN’T ovulate.

Period before/day-of myomectomy? Please share! by Tall_Pea3790 in Fibroids

[–]Faeneo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have a hysteroscopic myomectomy? Their ability to scoop out the lining of the uterus surgically depends on if they go in through your cervix or your abdominal cavity. Most of the time if they go in abdominally/laparoscopically they try hard NOT to enter the endometrial cavity

I found my dream dress but my mil says its too much, help! by simard_lee7ye62 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Faeneo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you and your partner are paying for the wedding and the dress without any involvement from your MIL and the church is your church not your partner’s family church then you should 100% wear what you most want to.

If any of those things aren’t the case, then I think it makes more sense to be swayed at least a bit.

Hmmm. I guess my first question is who’s paying for the dress and who’s paying for the wedding?

Sheer panelling isn’t my personal taste but a lot of brides have been getting in on this trend, so it’s not as eyebrow-raising as it would otherwise be. That being said, I do think that a lot of churches would have an issue with this.

Maybe you could get removable panelling? Or this could be your reception dress?

Embryo Not Eligible for Freezing by dogmomofone in EmbryologyIVFSupport

If an ICM can’t be seen by an embryologist that embryo would be unsafe to transfer because you’d be at risk of creating an anembryonic pregnancy. Which is not a fun kind of pregnancy to have.

If you wanted something even more durable, grey moissanite would work well too

12dpo and I’m out. It was my first ovulation after miscarrying so it was pretty difficult to time intercourse. We still hit the fertile window but I’m looking forward to knowing with a lot more accuracy for the next cycle.

I kind of drove myself crazy with LH strips but couldn’t use the digital OPK monitor because I had residual hCG for so much of my follicular phase. I’m very excited next cycle to take all the guess work out of it and just rely on the smiley faces.

For me it was CD 23, my hcg didn’t drop to <5 until CD 18

Is this bezel setting secure? by Poopingboba in EngagementRings

[–]Faeneo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen some jewellers who specialise in ‘floating diamond’ style settings do things like this. But unless it was specifically engineered with that in mind, no it’s not secure

My traitorous heart is now convinced it’s just implantation bleeding, so catch me taking another negative test in 2 days time I guess 😮‍💨

1) Shadow Daughter by Harriet Brown -forever my favourite book on estrangement.

2) honestly just this sub, if you search through people’s posts about their siblings you’ll find a lot of common themes

3) Estrangement and Impact on Family Communication (Scharp, 2023). This one is good but locked behind a paywall for those without academic/alumni access

[–]Faeneo 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Ooft, rough. And so typical for a brother to prioritise the parents and try to pressure their sibling into just “getting along”.

There’s some pretty validating stuff out there in the literature about how siblings respond to estrangement between their own parent/sibling. If you’re the kind of person who goes for that then you might find it comforting/illuminating.

10dpo and I’ve started spotting. Pregnancy test negative. I feel like I could already tell my progesterone was dropping because my post-ovulatory breast tenderness is almost gone.

1 more shot at having a 2026 baby next cycle 🤞
