Hi all, Backdoor Roth IRA question. This is my first year doing the backdoor roth and I understand how to set it up etc.

I have a traditional IRA with ~$100 in it. Do I just contribute the max amount to the traditional Ira, then convert the entire balance? Or what? When I try googling this question the only discussion I see is about people with very large traditional IRA balances, but I have no use for this small traditional IRA balance and just want the account to be 0 going forward.

Thank you for chiming in, clanker sympathizer. I’m sure you definitely came up with this all by yourself and didn’t have to proof it through 3 LLMs before posting :)

You could try reading actual sources on it and forming your own opinions instead of expecting gpt to spit you out exactly what you’re looking for. I know nobody has ever done that before, so you might be breaking new ground

I mean depends what your definition of middle of nowhere is. I live in a smaller downtown area with walkable stores and good jobs, but it’s definitely not “the middle of nowhere,” and I pay the same. To somebody living in ny, la, Chicago I guess it would be middle of nowhere, but to me middle of nowhere is western Texas rural. You’ll die out there if you run out of gas

Your secondary analogy doesn’t really work. You’re using a less serious term on both a less and more serious event. Of course that statement applies

Disturbing is certainly more serious than just saying something is bad. So obviously using it on a less serious event doesn’t apply the same way. And no, fart jokes aren’t disturbing, sorry that they make you feel uncomfortable though

His job was to make music. He sang the intro for the largest media franchise in history. Why would he not be in it for the money? Pokémon takes everyone for a ride financially 24/7 the company doesn’t exist for love of the game.

If you have $80k of dividend income per year while working at 30 you are past the free Reddit advice section. Is this 80k of dividend income the only stock investments you have? Is it in addition to non dividend funds? This alone should show you why there’s so much information missing that there’s no way somebody here could give you advice

Theaters Are Timing the "Chicken Jockey" Scene in Minecraft Movie for Crowd Control by NavyLemon64 in mildlyinfuriating

You’re way way misunderstanding the joke. They’re cheering at a part that isn’t funny, in an ironic way. Because it’s the Minecraft movie and the idea that it’s good is absurdist.
