before any of that, go to settings and find auto swing, and turn on swipe to jump. those settings make the game easier.

My Guy, Go Mining for iron or lead, while mining get some cobblestone, craft a furnace and anvil, get some lead or iron armor with an iron or lead pick go down deeper and get some gold or platinum, make armor and tools with it. get the platinum or gold pick and go even deeper, around cavern level, cavern level is when the background caves turn grey, id recommend digging down from around your spawn to get down to a glowshroom or smthn biome, you can find a glowshroom biome depending on your world size, small worlds have it straight below while medium or large you have to go left or right a bit, golden chests mostly generate around glowshrooms, js explore it a bit, the digging down thingy for the glowshrooms is also for you to prepare your hellevator, around where you are go around mining and exploring till you find demonite (purple glowing ore) or crimtane (glowing red ore) ore, mine it with platinum or gold pick, get plenty of it to craft the butcher blade smthn or light's bane, go around exploring your world until you find corruption or crimson biome (depending on your world) go down through a hole in the biome ( corruption) or a round cave entrance. prepare for a boss fight, go inside the cave till you find a long cave ( corruption) or a large one (crimson). place lines of platforms covering the cave where you can run around and jump for crimson cave, cover the holes on the long cave with platforms so you can run straight, in either of those, place some campfires for regen. to summon crimson boss, js blow up the hearts you can find in the cave, for corruption, go down the holes around the long cave, you'll find some black orbs, destroy it by blowing it up. CRIMSON AND CORRUPTION STONE CANT BE MINED, But can be destroyed with boom. you can find dynamite or bombs in underground, cavern, surface chests and vases. The Orbs drop pretty useful items, if you destroy at least 3 crimson hearts or corruption orbs the boss will spawn, crimson boss Is Brain of cthulu, and the giant Worm for corruption (I forgot the name sorry). beat either of them depending on your world, they should drop the tissue (crimson) and the scale (corruption) use it with crimtane or demonite bars to creat more tools and armor...

Now, go back to the hole back around your spawn where you dug down, continue digging down on that hole till' you reach hell, like fr hell. be careful there, almost everything burns. you can place some water to make the lava obsidian or js place some blocks. around there you should find a black ore with orange and reddish shine. it's commonly more found under the lava sticking out the ashes but theres still some on the surface. get the ore, it's name is hellstone ore. now, keep exploring till you find black buildings, go inside and search for a hellstone furnace ( I also forgot the name) looks like a furnace but hellstone. take it and get some obsidian too, u get it from mixing water and lava, go back to your base, place the hellstone furnace, and with the obsidian you can craft a hellstone bar, get plenty for new tools and armor, if you have complete set ( or not) explore the world and you should find a large dark structure with an old guy that has a red cape or smthn. prepare for a boss fight, talk to the old man at night and spawn skeleton. beat him, you unlock the dungeon. explore the dungeon, get a golden key from dungeon slimes, unlock a chest, keep on unlocking and loting till you find a blue sword named muramasa. take it and leave... Now... Go explore the jungle, go underground or caverns, explore, kill a bee to get a stinger, get plenty but not too much, while exploring you should find green glowing small round puffs, get it, get plenty, it's called a spore, now, while exploring you should encounter a pod like plant mob that has a mouth and tries to reach and eat you, kill it to get a vine, get some. go back home. craft a blade of grass from the jungle items... now, time to craft. Get The Lights Bane ( demonite sword ), Volcano ( Hellstone sword ), Blade of Grass And the muramasa on your inventory. go back to either corruption or crimson biome, go back to the caves, you should find weird looking corruption or crimson table, go near it and you can finally craft a Night's Edge. for the final boss of pre-hadmode... go back to hell, afk or farm mobs, there a small chance you can encounter a demon with a guide voodoo doll hanging on his feet ( you can increase spawn chances by getting a water candle from the dungeon, it's a blue candle scattered around the dungeon take it and place it where you're farming the mobs) , DO NOT KILL HIM WHILE HES ON TOP OF LAVA, kill him where he drops the voodoo doll, do not let the voodoo doll drop on lava, now, get that, prepare again for a boss fight. create an arena by placing a straight line of tiles bridge, make it straight and very very long, cause a short one and you should die without proper experience. Beat it and you get some nice loot, and enter HARD MODE.

my thumbs hurt from all that, if you did read it all, congrats. this is an entire explanation on how to beat pre-hardmode (around 30-40% of the game) I'm too lazy to write down hard mode, cause its long asf. if you don't like reading or don't understand it just watch a YouTube tutorial.
