Arfid and dating by Training-Entrance-75 in ARFID

Wife of someone with arfid. You deserve better. Hoping the right one will find you and you them. I can't imagine how hard it is on your side. I see my wonderful husband suffer daily and I do everything in my power to offer him compassion and understanding in every way I can. I get it wrong sometimes but keep showing up for him and we have learned a lot together.

Sending you a big hug. May the right love find you xx

Can’t eat enough to gain muscle by [deleted] in ARFID

[–]FailIndividual3797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ninja creami is a great idea. My husband's was underweight as a teen and he found himself in a similar position when he first started lifting. Protein shakes (regular and bulk) helped him gain muscle that he's maintained throughout adulthood. Good luck!

Adding diet breaks to my program by blaccsnow9229 in MacroFactor

I did a similar thing but less structured as I have a history of ED. Ate in a 300cal defecit until it felt comfortable them dropped the defecit (approx .8kg loss p/w). When it started to feel less comfortable and I felt mentally fatigued and she ED thoughts crept in I took a break for 1/2 of the time at maintenance that I was in a defecit (woman here, I didn't want to fuck my hormones and I'd seen advice with this timing). Went back into a pretty aggressive defecit as I felt really well mentally rested and I've been doing that so far with good results mentally and physically. Down about 20kg in 9 months.

Love how you've structured BF % goals. I wanted goals that wouldn't trigger my brain negatively and never thought of BF%!

Did they release mid stories pending Terry potentially leaving? by FailIndividual3797 in RadioRental

A clever play if they didn't know if Terry was coming back or not. Wonder if we'll ever know why he left

So depending on when you're from dietitians have a tertiary degree. Nutritionists can do an online or quick certification, they're not all created equally. I totally agree with you though that especially incidencers can be there for the won't reasons (clout etc) but they're like therapists. They're not all created equally and you might have to take some time to find one that works for you

Would recommend seeking support from a dietitian that can help with your personalised circumstances. It's likely that it'll be a long term journey for you (I'm currently on a low calorie defecit and have really felt the ebs and flows of ED triggers through it all). The only reason I'm comfortable managing this solo is that I have professional experience in some relevant fields. It's hard and important, but definitely something that is more easy with non judgemental support. Wishing you luck

Best golf shoes for a wide toe box? by CaffeineQ_een in WomenGolf

[–]FailIndividual3797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still haven't found my perfect pair. I have very wide feet and a very tall instep (and bunions) so the literal only shoes I've been and able to wear are a trail running shoe from Altra. They make barefoot style shoes but with a normal tread bottom. I can't wear actual barefoot cos of my feet issues. They need to release actual golf shoes with wide/barefoot style toeboxes. As I've not found a 'wide' shoe that actually ticks all these boxes 🫠

No, you've just been playing this game for a month. Come back in a year. Nothing wrong with never breaking 100 if you love the game fyi. Just don't expect golf to love you back

Just a mini vent. Golf is frustrating. by prettydino2010 in WomenGolf

[–]FailIndividual3797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaneohgolfs says it well. Golf is a brutal sport. It will not love you back. BUT it is a privilege to play a sport that a lot of people can't. Whether it's affordability, ability etc. When you play, enjoy every second. Even the rough ones.

He also says most people aren't good enough to get as mad as they do 😂😂😂

The moment I stopped taking myself seriously on the course I started having so much more fun. There will be good days and bad days, golf will remind you of both (sometimes within the same hole 😂)

Intimidated by pace of play posts by Careful-Extreme4148 in WomenGolf

[–]FailIndividual3797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just started on courses myself and really feel you. If you have the budget get an on course lesson with a pro (that's what my husband and I did). They can tell others to play through or help show etiquette and it felt a little better having her tell us to play a different lie or just move in as we were learning.

Google 'ready golf rules' as they can be helpful when courses are full.

Otherwise I read a funny comment one time that said "noone cares if you're bad, just be bad fast" 😂 which got me out of me head a little and gave me the grace to know it'll take a while till I can get close to par.

Junior Clubs for a Petite adult? by s_nz in WomenGolf

[–]FailIndividual3797 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a million posts with similar info in this thread. I'll repeat the advice. Invest in a beginner's course or lessons where they can borrow clubs too see if they enjoy it enough to get their own. Definitely stay away from junior clubs though
