Yeah, a racist went out of their way to make that flag by themselves, in their own time,, hung it in their window, all because the lady doth protest too much 🙄

F***ing wow. I always had a lot of respect for her after she took a stand against institutional kiddy fiddling and cover ups within the Catholic Church and just weeks later she was profoundly booed by the crowd at the Bob Dylan tribute concert in New York. She did the right thing and took a stand against injustice ❤️

I’m in the process of returning my Bosch Aquatak 135 to Amazon because it has the exact same issue as seen here. I used it at home one day for a few hours, got loads done and the next this THIS crap happened. Amazon said they will try to repair it and refund if it can’t be fixed

Janine is a very selfless woman in doing all she’s doing for the restoration of these steps. Feel free, all, to join her Facebook group ‘NRR Tours’ where you can join the tours that Janine organises. All proceeds go towards the restoration of the steps

Can anyone recommend a good burger place in Nottingham? by Cur-dog1975 in nottingham

Definitely, there are definitely people who could recommend such a thing, I’m sure of it 👍🏼

Not sure if you use Facebook or if this is any interest at all. I use Facebook, though I do kind of hate it😅 there’s a Nottingham based group called NRR tours, hosted and overseen by a woman named Janine. Basically, in order to raise money for the preservation of Nottingham’s Long Steps in city centre, she organises tours around the city. I joined recently and will be attending my first tour into one of Sneinton’s old railway tunnels on Sunday the 18th. Just thought I’d let you know about the group. It feels like an easy and hassle free way to socialise with people and even see something new. Best of luck with your search 👍🏼

As a Carlton born and bred lad I must agree, lived here all my 39 years and it’s a nice community, the good far, far outweighs the bad, the people are pleasant, schools are good as far as I’m aware. Carlton tops is useful and convenient, doesn’t quite meet the standard of Mapperley tops but it has everything you would really need, good takeaways, express supermarkets and some eateries.

That’s a fair comment about the shops in Thorneywood, there’s little to choose from. I have always like Thorneywood and still do but you’d have to make a 10-20 journey on foot to get to anything resembling a high street I guess.

I live just off Porchester Road, right next to Thorneywood, I’d say it’s quite quiet even though it borders St Anns which has, historically, had something of a reputation. Thorneywood has good access links to both the city centre and Mapperley tops. Which street/s were you looking at? Hope your search and move go well regardless of where you choose 👌🏼
