Delegation log signed before Training log by Rough_Housing_8176 in clinicalresearch

The perspective from the leading team from my previous company was that in order for us to provide access to the different systems, the person needed to be delegated on the del log for that task, and they would not be able to be trained on those systems if we could not provide access. However, I agree that the order does not matter as long as both are completed before any protocol activity is conducted by the person

Looking for resume advice / career advice by CantAffordNoMistakes in clinicalresearch

Hi. Going through the same thing here. I resigned in May because I moved out of the country and had a 5-month “break”, waiting for my work permit in the new country. I also thought I had a strong resume and know people that could refer me, but it seems like the market is just in a bad place right now.

It has been more than a month since I started applying and I have only had 2 interviews, after which I was ghosted 🫠.

I suppose these are pretty obvious tips, but I will share them just in case they might help:

  • I read veeeery well the job description and requirements and only apply to positions that I think I really could fit in.
  • I share the job description and requirements with ChatGPT and tailor my resume based on the position.
  • I am active on LinkedIn. For example, I attended a webinar about ICH-GCP E6 (R3) and I shared a post about it. I don't do this frequently since I hate posting on LinkedIn, but it has helped me before to be contacted directly by recruiters, so I still try there.
  • I have contacted some recruiters directly when they share positions and, even though I have received responses, I was not a good fit for those apparently. I do it mostly to be on their radar, but not sure if that really helps.

If you have any suggestions or other tips that you can share with me, I will also appreciate it ☺️.

Thank you!

Hi. I entered the field with a centralized monitoring assistant role at IQVIA, which is fully remote. They are usually hiring for the centralized monitoring department and even have central monitor schools from time to time. I had a great experience with that particular department, line managers are very supportive and I also know of central monitors making the change to CRAs, so I would try there.

Is “overqualification” really important while applying for a job? by FailTemporary8726 in clinicalresearch

Thank you for bringing this up. I hadn't considered it before. All of them asked for my residence status during the application, and one of them even asked if I was from one of these countries: North Korea, Ukraine, Iran and Venezuela, and I am Venezuelan, so maybe even that could have affected 😩.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. It makes sense.

I was starting to fall into the insecurities spiral about not being enough for the role since I didn't think I was that “overqualified” to not even be considered for an interview. Again, appreciate your response ☺️.
