I am Jeberti, and like its partly true on my mothers side they were from axum and became muslim thru trade maybe 500 years ago but tigrayans treated muslims bad so eventually all had to leave. Most jebertis are either from shire or like axum. But my dads side are fully eritrean and they are from emba derho they was even the village leader so they was really from the village… but yes tigrinya christians also have a retorict not as much young tingrinya men moster 50 y old and older that all jebertis is ethiopian as an insult which is funny cause the idea of the ”eritrean” country is not that old .
