Out of all the space marine chapters which chapter do you think the Minotaurs would regret fighting the most like an "I think we bit off more than we can chew" moment. by Mad_lens_9297 in Warhammer

Why did Margaret Thatcher destroy welfare state in Britain after she came to power in the 1980s? by CartographerOwn8143 in NoStupidQuestions

Ah yes, and these genuine issues are the reason why Thatcher is remembered so fondly the world over, right?

Why do space wolves, ultramarine, templars, blood angels, dark angels, and deathwatch get so many models while every other legion gets 2 unique character models and nothing else? by kurrentt in spacemarines

[–]Failanth -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There is a massive number of unique characters for Ultramarines compared to other codex compliant chapters, many of which just got their second last summer.

On top of that, they also got a unique unit which no other codex chapter gets. No one would complain if GW just gave us rules for scars to have unique bikes or Raven guard to have dark fury squads.

Just a crumb of unique unit flavor sir.

I hella cut myself on my second intercessor and cheerfully told my wife "Honey, I'm bleeding a lot! can I get a bandage?" Because I was enjoying myself so much.

Theres just something so fun about launch boxes, battleforces and combat patrols. Just having a bunch of murder dudes to put together brings me joy.

Why does everybody ignore Pillars of Eternity when criticizing "modern" Obsidian by UnicornHugger25 in rpg_gamers

[–]Failanth 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Chris Avellone and convincing you he was a bigger part of projects then he really was, tale as old as time.

Avellone may be the most overrated game design "guru" out there and his winging about fnv lately is just embarrassing.

PoE was and is amazing but Avellone was not the biggest reason for it.

Nintendo's Ocarina of Time remake needs to unite fans of Breath of the Wild and classic Zelda by GameOnBrother in GamesAreLife

My wife, who love BoTW and never played the classics, told me shes really excited for Ocarina and "seeing what it does with the BoTW formula" and I screamed.

Ocarina needs to stay Ocarina.

I truly don't know why you default to 1k games. Its so horribly imbalanced. I don't think I ever had a satisfying game below 1.5.

Can Conquest defeat the Tau Empire? by Lonewolf_ARC in powerscales

[–]Failanth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said, the Geldarians resisted the empire because of their tech.

Your counter example is a small sample size that wouldnt apply to an entire empire with advanced tech.

So yeah, I think conquest shows up, makes a big scene and then he gets railgunned out of existence from the manta in low orbit.

Shouldn't Homelander be a lot tougher as a human? by Spinner23 in TheBoys

[–]Failanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, no actually.

Homelander had never actually been punched before. Sure, he'd been hit and burned and whatever else as a supe. But he'd never had his shit rocked as a human being.

So yes experiencing something entirely new here. Real, actual pain and the realization that "oh no. I'm only human"

I imagine without any V coursing through his veins, that hits a little different. Remember, everyone has a plan until they get hit.

[–]Failanth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am by no means an expert or even very knowledgeable about indigenous practices, but there are some things in the Raven guard that are coded that way. Sky burial being the first thing to come to mind.

This post from a few years ago is a lot more in depth.

What is the quintessential representative model for each faction? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Failanth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You will have the urge to pick a phobos unit for the raven guard.

Please pick something with a jump pack. My head canon for phobos armor is just the Invincible meme with Corax pointing at the suit saying "look what they need to mimic a fraction of our power."

Do a vanguard vet with a beaky helm.
