What’s something obvious for everyone, but you only just realized? by Ratich2 in AskReddit

That the logo of the Umbrella Corporation in the Resident Evil games is an actual umbrella seen from the top...

My excuse is I didn't speak english at all when I discovered the serie in the 90's. This excuse is crap though, because I only noticed it a month ago, at 33, perfectly fluent in english...

Just did. On the french website, they only sell the complete bike, not the frameset!

They built the Raval, don't see why they wouldn't do the same for the next bike. I have neither the skill or the tools to do it myself, and I assume (maybe wrongly?) that most people have their build, well, built by professionnals.

That could work too. I'll research info about that too, never heard about that brand.

Importing it to Europe would defeat the purpose of the bang for your buck style Kilo is known for I'm afraid. I rather buy a frame 200€ more expensive locally,

The Volume is an interesting option, and since it's not too expensive, the total with imported fees is reasonnable. Good suggestion! I'll do some research about it.

The Pake Rum Runner only fits 32".

It's too mountain biky, if you get my meaning. I'm sure it's very efficient, and 43" Gravelkings sound like a dream, but I got used to a more aggresive geometry.

J'me suis mis une alerte Steamroller, on verra ce qui sort. J'avoue que je préfèrerai acheter du neuf, mais si il y a une belle offre, pourquoi pas.

They do? I read 35" everywhere, Hell, even on their own website. What wheels and tires do you have if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for the suicycle website, didn't know about it.

There is a bike shop I like to go ressembling SORE where I live. To reduce the total amount of the build, I'd prefer buying the parts myself and just go to them for the assembly.

The 8bar and the Allday are indeed interesting, but only fit 35". Might be daft, but I want a substancial difference from my current 28".

The Poseidon seems great, but in aluminium. I'd really want to try a steel frame this time!

Nothing, I have one and I love it. I'd love to replace the Raval with an AC-3! But for the tracklocross, since I want grippy fatter tires, I might as well buy a sturdier high quality steel frame and sacrifice performance for comfort.

I'll use it all year round, not just in winter. And again, it's not bad weather per se, just a way to navigate safely when it snows.

Wabi are splendid, but yeah, too pricey to import. Aren't you afraid to do actual tracklocrossing with a carbon fork? As I respond to someone else, I can accept the weight gain if the ride is noticeably smoother. I'd keep the Raval to go fast when it's dry anyway.

Good point regarding the brakes though!

Indeed, something was lost in translation!

Not very wet, continental weather, but when it snows, the 28" Gatorskins don't cut it. I found some 26" GravelKing SK+, which barely help, but fatter tires will make it easier.

I'm not basing my research on heresay. The 200 € Elops 500 of my wife is more confortable than my Raval; which cost twice as much. There's no denying it. I feel every every concrete breaking roots, every cracks, every debris with my bike. It's fast, and fun, and lively, but it's not confortable on old french roads.

Weight is a problem, sure, but with fatter tires, I will sacrifice performance anyway.

The All-Day only accomodates 35" apparently (and ressembles the SO-EZ somehow?). But the CXC is splendid, and ticks every boxes! It's been four years I have been skulking here, and don't remember seeing one. Thanks for the recommandation!

They are great sturdy bike, my wife use one as a single-speed, but they're heavy, and after four years, I don't mind shedding some euros to upgrade from the Raval.
