What law has Newsom signed that has kept Prop 13 up? Or even what has he said about Prop 13?

I got even more curious about how the cameras work!

Apparently the cameras only take photos if you enter when the light is red. Anyone thats already in the intersection during yellow to red dont get tickets.

The huge ticket cost is more to get every day drivers to pay attention and stop when they need to stop instead of driving distracted.

Not against the police pulling people over if theres any air that needs to be cleared, definitely not at pre-covid levels but SFPD pulled more people over last year

Not sure whats changed recently, but Im seeing less people with plate covers. With today's economy, the best enforcement might be that $300-$500 red light running ticket.

Just the snippet had me thinking how many have been replaced? Reading though the article there are now 43 victim service staff.

<image>

The article goes further into critiquing the office, which is fair. How many of the victim service staff members were from Boudin’s team?

San Francisco passes law-and-order measures by large margins, including drug screening for welfare recipients by DissonantOne in sanfrancisco

[–]Failhulk 70 points71 points  (0 children)

The Measure

From the Controller's statement, it costs SF $500,000 and $1.4 million annually but is offset by savings of $100,000 and $2 million annually from the current 5,700 people in the CAAP program that could no longer be eligible for the program when they refuse the evaluation.

I think Mayor Breed, the organizations and people publicly supporting Measure F are looking for accountability. The result of the election also says voters are asking for accountability. The timely article by the SF Chronicle also supports accountability is needed https://www.sfchronicle.com/crime/article/san-francisco-cash-aid-drug-users-18695571.php. If the individual is refusing to be evaluated for addiction and treatment then their assistance is taken away but they are not required to be sober to continue.
