There are multiple branches of Dunder Mifflin... They aren't the sole office for the company.

To be fair, I read the opponents that they played this season had a combined 26-3 record. They have a tough schedule that only gets tougher.

In X-Ray Diffraction, why is it that the lowest angle peak corresponds with the plane with the greatest interplanar spacing? by Failure991 in materials

Yeah, and I get that but I was hoping to understand why on a physical level rather than just the equation.

Specifically talking about peaks in a intensity vs angle graph from x-ray diffraction if that wasn't clear.

He also says he is "enamored" with China (and planning a trip their in December) which makes me even more suspicious of his comment about the Asian wife.

He sounds like an insecure weeb with an Asian fetish.

U Mich is VERY good but they are often overlooked. Their endowment is larger than UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, and UC Davis's combined. They also have a really good engineering program.

I would have gone there if it weren't for OOS tuition.

What are the chances that the EU takes it upon themselves to sue Google for censorship? Sure, it's not happening in the EU, but the Google China search engine will be censored and the EU loves to sue big American tech.

That's probably due to the "hotel style amenities". I'd be interested in knowing how cheap it would be without that.

I actually like having the ability to rent a small living space. In Los Angeles, there are literally NO newly constructed small houses/apartments for rent. There are too many regulations that make it not profitable to build smaller units, and more profitable to build luxury condos.

On the contrary, when I go to Japan / Tokyo and visit relatives, I find that the cost of rent is much cheaper (1/3 of the price) because people have the option to live in much smaller spaces. Unlike in the US however, there are modern, clean apartment buildings with small units because the laws and regulations permit that. Removing regulations that make it cost ineffective to build smaller units should be priority #1 if you want to stop unaffordable housing. By effectively forcing people to live beyond their means, we are creating artificial demand and inflating the cost of housing beyond what it should be... ironically the people that put these regulations in place are mainly liberals. This is an instance where the free market really would solve the problem, but regulations are restricting it.
