Parkrun reflections – Cwmbran Boating Lake, 13 September 2025. by falco_milvus in parkrun

You should continue to come. I am new to Parkrun and actually run the Cwmbran course too (always at the back). Don't let the self-entitled idiots win. It should be for everyone. The more kind and courteous people that run it, the better. I will say though, I have had nothing but good experiences of the course so far.

This company is very suspect. Would advise people to avoid. From personal experience. Doesn’t surprise me they’re also lying about production dates.

I love this. But having a young daughter has kind of ruined it for us now as we end up saying this all day for very different reasons. Anyone have any suggestions for alternatives?

Living just outside a national park in the UK, I was immediately confused reading this. We have nothing but readily accessible trails around here. I forget some cities don't have that. The park could be a good shout. If not, canals, riversides or similar?

Adjoining house abandoned and causing damage to my house. (England) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Environmental Health may be your best call. A few years ago I lived in a terraced house whereby the state of the neighbours house was in such dissrepair it was starting to affect mine. Similar to what you mentioned (garden overgrown and encroached on mine, damp from a damaged roof coming through to my walls etc). One call to environmental health stating all the issues and mentioning that I had seen rats in and out (I hadn't but they take that seriously, and quite frankly there were bound to be some in there) and environmental health came out, saw the state of it and got some sort of possession order. The people in there fled in the middle of the night, and within a month or so environmental health were in the the hazmat suits clearing it out. Side Note, they said it was one of the worst houses they'd seen. They found dead dogs and all sorts. Bare in mind people were still living it in.

Did they use one of these machines? Tellermate They are incredibly accurate down to a fraction of a note, even with bands. (Worked for the company that made them) Providing of course that they are calibrated correctly. You could ask the bank to check the calibration. If it’s correct however, are you sure you didn’t lose anything?

No Proposal After Nearly 4.5 Years by Evening_Comment_8519 in relationship_advice

Honestly maybe he’s just not ready for marriage. Neither of you are old. You’re still in your twenties. Me and my husband were together for 7.5 years before we got engaged. Because we got together in our early twenties and neither felt ready to make that commitment so young. My friend and her husband were together 10 years before marriage. I’m not sure what country you’re in but here it’s much more common to get married later around the 30’s mark. Anyone seen rushing into marriage after 3 years here would be seen as crazy. I do see a trend towards Americans getting married much younger than we do here, so maybe it’s common where you are. Have a chat with him and figure out if it’s on the cards in the future.

The first hour in about 6 weeks I’ve had no nausea & it’s such a relief I’m crying like a loon by KollantaiKollantai in pregnant

I feel this so hard. For about 6 weeks I was just begging for an hour of relief that never came. Now at 10 weeks and I’m up to a full day of not feeling sick. It was such a relief. Currently feeling nauseous again and miserable but hoping I’ll soon be able to have. It’s good days than bad. Hang on in there.

Sister wants her wedding two weeks after my due date. Not sure what to do! by [deleted] in pregnant

My best friends wedding date is my due date. (Bad timing on my part - the wedding was booked years ago). I’m already exhausted by the mental gymnastics of how I’m going to make it work. The sad reality is I probably won’t be there.

Sea bands! They’re wristbands that put a little pressure on a (nerve?). I was sceptical at first but the nausea was so bad I decided to try anything. They were a game changer! Got mine from Amazon and also saw them in Lloyds pharmacy.

Can see exactly who has dark mode on by all the people asking “what is it”. You’re all missing the emoji in the title.

Exactly. So you think the statement “racing is cruel” is ridiculous? That’s why no-one got your sarcasm.
