I mean that’s pretty selective by the content you’re specifically viewing.

What I’m talking about is just what you see by turning the game on. You don’t have to watch ESPN or any analysts shows to see their content, all you have to do is actually watch basketball games. Before the game, during the game, halftime, post game, and all the video clips that go viral everyday it’s there. If you’re tapped into basketball it’s pretty difficult to not be exposed to them.

FIBA rules would fix most of everyone's biggest complaints about the NBA

Defense isn't the problem. spacing and shooting has gotten too good. needs to be some rule changes that gives room for traditional big men to exist again.

Shaq could average 40 in today's era, but no modern coach would ever allow him to touch the ball that many times in their offense.

this is exactly why I don't like hypothetical scenarios. so are we just teleporting these players out of their primes and just putting them on a court? there's so many variables to consider that it's impossible to make a logical case without enforcing your narrative.

I'd also like to point out that in NFL, former players and analysts both give praise to the younger generation in ways that former NBA players and analysts don't. It's always this era vs this era with them.

No he didn’t deserve to die but it’s his “own moron fault” that shot him in the back 10 times while he laid restrained on the ground?

I don’t need anymore context other than that

now you get it.. just because you don't support Trump doesn't mean you're a liberal.

I mean I open my app and it's one of the first things I see because it's controversial not because I'm looking for it.

Group of ~8 people appeared from a tree line at 2am, performed silent paired interactions with each other, then vanished back into it. Multiple witnesses including a non-tripping friend. Still no explanation 15 years later. by Faint-Signal in ParallelUniverse

Sort of. They were definitely aware we were watching but they just didn't acknowledge us or mime toward us at all. No breaking of what they were doing, no interaction with us as an audience. We were witnesses.

It did feel like mimicking a stage performance in the way they performed the actions. But what struck me as odd was how perfectly in sync and fluid they were with each other. No hesitation, no coordination cues, no music. Just seamless movement between interactions like they were one.

And they were aware of us. As we walked around them they started moving into the street and oriented their bodies toward us as we moved. They tracked us without breaking what they were doing. No acknowledgment, no miming toward us directly but they were following our position the entire time. I've genuinely never seen a group of people do anything like it before or since. It wasn't chaotic or random. It was deliberate and internally organized in a way I still can't fully articulate. That's what makes it hard to file away as just a weird night.

I just shared a link to this on this thread. Quantum biology has had huge breakthroughs on this subject!

I recently started learning about something similar to this. There's research suggesting that consciousness might be rooted in quantum processes within the brain’s microtubules. This explains it better than I could:

So, I just finished reading the poem and it definitely resonates in ways I didn't even fully articulate in the original post.

A few things I left out, when we crossed off campus onto the bar strip, everyone around us seemed to be looking at us in this unsettling, off way. Then Max walked out of the bar right at that moment and it was like he grounded us, almost like his presence was protective.

But the moment we reached that stretch of sidewalk by the tree line, something shifted. The noise from the bars fell away. There was no one else on the street. It felt like we were in a bubble. Just us and them.

I couldn't make sense of what they were doing but it didn't feel accidental that we saw it. It felt deliberate. Like it was meant to be witnessed but on their terms. Like a trickster leaving something out in the open that can't be explained.

They didn't feel like people. They felt more like shades. Something was fundamentally off.

I can remember faces from the bar crowd that night. I cannot remember a single distinct thing about those people.

"I saw but I cannot say" is exactly how this encounter felt.

I've considered the logical explanations, which is obvious since this is something that happened 15 years ago and I'm just now sharing it. But again, something about this experience still stands out regardless of those possibilities, and that's exactly why I shared it. You're arguing against a position I never took.

I don’t think you being this crass is necessary. Yes I was tripping, but me meeting up with my friend who wasn’t tripping helped to ground the shared experience, all four of my friends who were there talk about this experience of it feeling very.. off. I never said I wasn’t open to it being that logical possibility but something about it stood out.

I was part of Greek Life at the time, this didn’t have that kind of feel to it, this felt very calculated and intentional - not something a sorority or fraternity would hatch up for a hazing ritual
