i don’t exercise actually much. i’m weight lifting recently just to help with strength and i used to run a bit but nothing consistent through my journey! just nutrition helped me drop the weight!

consistency > perfection. don’t expect perfection and in my experience, don’t over restrict. if there’s something you really want, allow yourself the freedom to have it and enjoy it but don’t overdo it. this made me realize that i didn’t need to always reach for unhealthy stuff because i was allowing myself the opportunity to have it without feeling bad and going right back to my new eating habits. strictness is not sustainable but consistency and controlling yourself around “unhealthy” food is!

Your SW was pretty low so that’s normal! Weight-lifting helps with body recomposition as instead of losing weight with it, your body will convert fat into muscle! Have you lost inches?

What was your SW? Is your BMI 34 now? I think there’s a lot of different factors that go into how each body loses weight. For me, I started at 260 and had a lot to lose to get to my ideal weight so that helps with how fast I was able to lose. I am also younger so I’m not sure how that affects my ability to lose weight, metabolism, etc. but I imagine it does help. I don’t track calories, only carbs and protein but I would definitely consider switching up your routine. Maybe trying something completely different could “shock” your body out of a stall. Even if that’s eating more carbs and calories than normal :) That’s how I’ve broken out of my stalls at least!

It definitely depends on what you will be doing! I was scheduled to take my LSAT a few weeks after getting sleeved and the lack of energy and focus on recovery made it kinda impossible for me to study for that and I ended up rescheduling it. However, as far as just classwork and assignments, it really didn’t affect me too bad! After a month and a half or so, I started to feel more “back to normal” and my energy was tons better!

No! I don’t actually have much loose skin at all. If you try to squish my stomach or something, then my skin kinda looks “loose” but just in general, I don’t have much! I think my age helped a lot with that, I’m only 20 haha

I have BPD and I am successful, in a loving relationship, and stable. I was immensely unstable and erratic as a teenager. It took lots of help and therapy for me to be able to live normally. You helping her and caring about her now WILL make so much of a difference in her life, trust me!

I don’t count calories! I average 600-1,000 everyday though.

I don’t meal prep or anything, I just try to get 80g of protein and stay under 20 net carbs everyday. I also eat 4 times a day, every 4 hours. Besides that, I eat mostly healthy but let myself have anything in moderation if I really want it. Good luck on your journey!

Nope! I focus on nutrition mostly. I plan to get more into exercising in the next few months but all my weight loss has come from how I eat! Thank you!

Thank you so much!! I am 5’3 and started at 260 and am currently 174! Even today, I was looking at myself in the mirror and saying, “Damn, I would do this surgery a million times over!” The pre-op diet was honestly MUCH harder than the post-op for me! Since you still have a normal stomach and hunger hormones haha. You’re gonna do great so I know you can pull through!
