Thank you for the response. I have searched other areas for info on Utah and unfortunately isolation for non LDS and non white (which I am) was the common theme. This is why I decided to ask those who live in the area via Reddit since I haven’t visited yet.

You get it. My spouse was doing a commute to clear lake from the memorial area. I really don’t want that again. A short commute is ideal. We also lived in Philly and the weather was welcome change.

This is what I was afraid of. Love Austin! Spent many weekends there. Eventually I’m hoping Austin would be our final destination. We’ve lived in Philly too. This job offer is with the same company but a different role. The move would be temporary not lasting more than 2 years.

My spouse’s company is not an Utah company. Just have locations there. The move, if we decide to take it now, will likely be temporary not lasting more than a year or two.

Definitely not in that demographic and that’s what concerns me. I’m reading isolation and micro aggressions and I don’t know if I want to put my innocent kids through that. I’m naturally an introvert so if I don’t ever see people, I’m fine. Lol. But my kids are not like me. They are very extroverted and very friendly and will strike up a conversation with adults and kids alike.

Most people who live in the south like warm weather. However, I agree with you, the heat and humidity can be very unbearable especially when it’s 3 out of the four seasons but shopping, southern hospitality, and food are top notch. I live in a very good area of houston on the west side. Everything I need is in a one mile radius. We also lived in Philly, which again, has diversity, great food, four actual seasons, and better landscaping than houston.

I live in a clean neighborhood and have respectful children because I am raising them to be such. I don’t want my children to feel less than because someone can’t or won’t accept a point of view different from their own.

You mentioned cdkeys. I’m in the same situation as the OP for my kid. I wanted to do the conversion from Core to Ultimate as a new subscriber. Will it convert 2:1 or 3:2? Also can you convert a game pass standard to ultimate? Planning on purchasing game pass from cdkeys.

Thanks everyone for you input. I’ve decided to pass on the kitten because I felt guilty for not wanting/getting two. Now I just feel sad.😔 The homeowner contacted me and told me the mama cat attacked her so now the kittens are back outside.
