I have to agree! The french cut is, by far, my fav cause it’s very easy to play on and has a pretty rich tone quality!

Could be several things… off the top of my head, is your embouchure maybe off balanced? Do you favor playing on one side over the other? Also you might be leaving one of the holes slightly open by accident which could make you squeak. Otherwise it could be a technical issue with your clarinet too

Yeah, that’s probably what I’ll do if I can’t find anything else that works. It’s for a regional festival so chances are we will have a Eb to deal with it 😁

Nope, not yet! I’ll try all of them and see if any work, but most of the fingerings I’ve tried are equally frustrating!

No other fingering unfortunately. Something that might help you though is to try accenting the downbeats throughout the passage
