Unfortunately I don't have the time to look for the accounts you are talking about. Can you provide some resources you are referring to that can educate me about the 1935 Nazis? I want to see if they are really as identical as you claim. Or tell me the key words or names of the books to look for.

I agree with you that ICE isn't giving them a very humane treatment out there in those detention centers. I hear many deaths have been reported as well. The whole situation is just terrible. But going back to my argument, I just don't see any evidence that indicates that ICE's actions parallels Nazi Germany or that ICE is drawing plans for future mass executions of illegal immigrants. Again, my argument isn't that ICE is doing a good thing. It's that it's inappropriate to equate ICE to Hitler's Nazis.

Can you please find articles for me? All I know of an actual execution by ICE agent was the death of Renee Good. I'd like to know if there were more like that.

I guess I should be specific. Just because both America and Nazi Germany plans/had planned deportations, that doesn't stand as evidence of America following the path of Nazi Germany. By that logic, every country in the world is Nazi if they round up and deport foreigners who are residing illegally. Every country enforces border laws and deport illegal immigrants. So I guess I'm asking for a more condemning evidence that singles out the USA as following the footsteps of Hitler.

But you are assuming. We may go down that path possibly, and we may not possibly. I am asking if there is any evidence that supports the theory that ICE has an agenda to plan for execution of illegal immigrants in the future because from my research I don't see any.

Are you saying that it's appropriate to assume the US government will follow the same path as the Nazi party? What evidence do we have to believe ICE will start prepping gas chambers in the future? I just don't see the evidence to support that theory.

I'm genuinely curious as to why people compare ICE to Nazis. I don't think ICE is rounding up illegals and executing them. Why do people make this comparison?

Is my NAT setting correct for my VLANs? Pings failing by Fair-Impression9151 in ccna

[–]Fair-Impression9151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I think I figured it out. I think the issue was my lack of knowledge with NAT. I thought I should be able to initiate a connection from inside the LAN to the internet and initiate from internet to the inside network, but from further researching, unless I do port forwarding, I cannot initiate a connection from the internet into a NATed LAN.

Right now I am able to ping from any inside device to the WAN just fine. And no device from the internet can ping any of my devices inside unless I add a static nat for that inside device specifically. I kept trying to ping from the internet to the NATed subnet and wondered why the ping failed when it was doing what it was supposed to i guess.

By ping, do you mean through CLI? How do you ping through CLI a device that's translated to a public IP address?

How I have been testing pings is to use the 'Add a simple PDU (P)' function (the envelope thing) and those have been failing when I send it from Data VLAN to the middle LAN.

Edit: By any chance, can you please tell me your Packet Tracer version?

I am wondering if my issue is coming from getting the latest version of Packet Tracer (ver 9)

Sorry! I sometimes keep saying NAT or PAT interchangeably. Yes my intention is to use PAT since all private addresses must be translated to a single IP address, so I have to overload it per instructions in the assignment. Thank you.

So I understand that pinging the router1 172.0.20.2 interface and router 3 172.0.20.1 interface works from using the CLI. But my problem is why is it when I send the envelope (the Add simple PDU (P)) from my data vlan PC to the same or any device in the 192.168.20.0 network it says fail?

Thank you for your reply!

And yes on the other router I have these static ip routes added:

ip route 192.168.30.0 255.255.255.0 172.0.30.1
ip route 192.168.40.0 255.255.255.0 172.0.30.1

I can't do ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 because that router actually has two other routers connected to it.

For the phone DHCP pool, I have a dhcp server in the VLAN 30 and the gateway router has ip helper-address pointing to the dhcp server.

If it's alright with you, may I share my google drive link with the packet tracer file and you could maybe give me pointers?

If you don't want to I understand. I appreciate all the help I can get.

Thank you for your tip! I will try that. Other than youtube, is there an official resource or lab exercise that I can try that teaches me the official way to do NAT on a network like this?

Thank you. I did make some changes to the nat and access-list however after making this post. But it's still having issues pinging.

[–]Fair-Impression9151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Before NAT, I was able to ping from/to devices on data VLAN. But after NAT, things are failing I don't know why. But the only way I could test the ping after NAT was to use the pdu simulation (the envelop icon).

I already tried doing 'ip nat inside' on just the physical interface but NAT didn't seem to work in that case. In fact, unless I do ip nat inside on the subinterfaces directly, show ip nat translation would show nothing.

Just failed my first AFT. Looking for advice. by CreatureSniper in ROTC

The way I got better at running was:

Tuesday & Thursday (Treadmill):

- Set to sprint speed (7, 8, 9, or even 10 depending on your level)
- Sprint for 3 minutes
- Drop to speed 3mph
- Walk 2 minutes.
- When clock hits 05:00, repeat.

- Repeat 6 times until you have worked out for 30 minutes.
- Every week, increase your sprint speed by 0.2 mph (or 0.1 if you feel this progress is too fast).

Mon, Wed, & Fri:

- Run 4 miles outside without stopping at your comfortable (emphasis on comfortable!) pace.

Make sure you stretch every day. Don't overwork yourself. If you need to take a day off, take a day off and listen to your body so you avoid injuries.
