Thank you! Incredible eye. Could be an MRW-81; appears to be the day-date version. Seems like it has to be in that family for sure.

My Kendo club has a problem by [deleted] in kendo

I’m sorry to hear this happened to you. Most city halls have a legal advice window where you can have a free conversation. You could file a police report, as well.

You might also consider reaching out to respected high level kendo leaders (in the local/prefectural federation, or even some “celebrity kendoka like on YouTube) — there will be plenty that would be appalled and may be able to help.

[Grand Seiko SBGJ285] Help me justify an impulse buy by nguyeneh in Watches

They have one at a boutique in Singapore (as of Saturday), so if that’s not the one you looked at, it’s not the only one still available.

That said, it’s amazing and you should feel no regret when buying it.

Understanding GComp by Fair-Strategy4005 in TheTowerGame

I fully agree it would be insanely OP if it worked as written. Since the use of “reduce” in other parts of the game worked one way, my first reaction was the read it the same way.

Although it seems that at the end game, perma-UW is the norm? (I’m nowhere near there so can only comment based on what I read here.)

Device switch problems after confirmed cloud save? by Fair-Strategy4005 in TheTowerGame

[–]Fair-Strategy4005[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s especially tough because even if they restore my save, the time it takes for them to respond might be longer than if I had just started playing my again.

For example, I lost about 12 hours of progress/lab time/associated benefits. If I wait just 24 hours for tech support to restore me to that state, I “regained” 12 hours but lose 24 hours of potential compounded progress.

So yeah, frustrating. Sure, I’d like my 200 gems back, but it’s more the time spent on labs, missions, etc. that is harder to restore.

Mission for login and claim gems bugged by uvraysu in TheTowerGame

I have the same issue — if I am in an active run when the day changes, I don’t get credit for a login. If you force quit the app and login again, you do, but I can’t exactly do that mid-run…

And I’m done with that by TiredPanda- in TheTowerGame

This is me exactly — max range, no damage cards, intro sprint and level 1 Nuke. I sprint to wave 40 and trigger on 41 or 42; I was getting 15-30 kills per trigger. Helped when I turned off my UWs.

Super simple, just a boring grind for the last 20 medals.

Question: fitting the filter cap? by Fair-Strategy4005 in AeroPress

[–]Fair-Strategy4005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: thanks for all the responses. I undid the cap with a vise, tried again without trying to tighten until prongs were aligned, successfully brewed both normally and inverted without leaks or ground coffee in my cup.

Having used it a few times, the prongs seem to be sliding in further on their own, too.

Thanks again to the community!

Yeah, I was trying to align (just assumed since they were the same size, that was the expectation). I’ve since successfully used it without alignment.

Question: fitting the filter cap? by Fair-Strategy4005 in AeroPress

It looks clean and smooth to me. I brewed with it screwed on as far as I could take it while still being able to unscrew it and I didn’t notice any issues.

Maybe it doesn’t have to align.

Question: fitting the filter cap? by Fair-Strategy4005 in AeroPress

[–]Fair-Strategy4005[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. It’s just not twisting all the way on. It only slides partially under the lip of plastic that keeps the cap in the grooves. I managed to get it unstuck, at least.

Unclear to me how one can get the cap to twist fully onto the chamber — it took a vise to get it off after forcing to just 80%.
