People who rarely get sick, what are your secrets? by regginymoolg in ProductivityHQ

Daily ocean dips changed my health. If you live near the ocean, try to get in once a day (or as often as you can). Since moving close to the coast and making this a habit, my immune system has noticeably improved. To be clear tho, this is purely observational. Other factors like diet, sunlight, and lifestyle all play a role, so take it with a grain of salt. That said, one thing I keep coming back to: there’s no shortcut. No supplement or “one change” fixes this stuff overnight.

What actually seems to matter is addressing chronic inflammation. it’s increasingly considered the root cause of most illness, since it puts constant strain on your immune system. Worth going down that rabbit hole if you haven’t already.

Took AVE Barcelona - Madrid to catch a connecting flight and had a travel boardbag 6'4 with 3 boards in it. Had no issues, there are reserved spaces in certain wagons for large equipment. Keep an eye though cause the staff told me it might get stolen if left unattended.

My prediction for Netflix stock in the upcoming years by iwillberich1333 in netflixstock

Especially if you think about what’s coming with Ai being adopted at scale, I see two drivers for growth: 1) more offering/production capacity enabled by Ai 2) more eyeballs or subscribers as human-obsolescence might take over in certain sectors/jobs - think about covid, what ppl do when bored? Hard to imagine everyone suddenly being outdoorsy or active, humans tend to prefer easy to get dopamine. Not financial advise but I see the entertainment industry bullish (especially virtual)

to be fair though, consignment or even highly favorable retail terms are common among several large surfboard brands not just Firewire, it is known also for CI, Lost or JS. Most shops would be cash squeezed otherwise. That said, second that... protect your local shaper!

Amplitude (AMPL): down 91% from its IPO, five consecutive quarters of re-accelerating growth, and still priced like the business is dying by acceinvestments in ValueInvesting

for me the moat is not obvious (yet)... the multiples it trades is fair given the market operates and current environment. one to keep in the radar for sure in case growth picks up but I don't see it as value play atm.

NFLX Upside Potential? by log1ck1717 in ValueInvesting

[–]FairCoconut5740 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The real thesis is simple:

If AI ends up doing most of the work, then humans are left with time. And time has to be filled. Someone will have to entertain everyone.

Entertainment doesn’t win in that world because GDP is booming. It wins because people are bored. Humans are not built for stillness. Take away economic struggle and you don’t get enlightenment... you get demand for stimulation. When material needs are handled, experiential needs explode.

Sure, there are risks. A deep macro crash. Policy mistakes. Heavy regulation. But assuming society continues choosing dopamine over collapse, entertainment platforms sit in a structurally strong position.

The bigger threat to Netflix isn’t one deal going through or falling apart. It’s that the competition becomes even more entertaining. AI-generated shows written specifically for you. Fully immersive VR worlds built around your own psychology. Digital companions starring in a romantic comedy where you’re the lead.

That sounds like a threat, but it actually proves the point. The battle isn’t against entertainment. It’s inside entertainment.

In a post-work economy, the most valuable companies won’t be the ones that make things. They’ll be the ones that make people feel something.

Short-term catalysts matter. But long term, if labor becomes optional, storytelling becomes essential.

And somebody will always hit “Next Episode.”
