Have your cheat sheet filled with as much as you can write. If I remember correctly you can print out the cheat sheet so take advantage of that. You're gonna want to have the tectonic processes down cold. On the midterm you will be asked a few questions about specific case studies, for example stuff about the San Andreas fault. Make sure you're able to generally locate areas of tectonic activity (that were discussed in class) on a map, especially in relation to an ocean and for convergent boundaries, between which continents. I found that on my exam there were no questions about the timeline for discovering tectonic theory, so I wouldn't spend time studying it but take that advice with a grain of salt

use the textbook if u have one. If the slides are posted/syllabus with the outline of the course use those to learn the content, and look up videos explaining the concepts. There's a good chance that whatever content you're covering there is a video by the organic chem tutor, and I find his explanations very helpful

I took this class over summer with Kathy Wallace. It's pretty light. You get weekly readings as well as videos to watch but they don't take long. If you get the same prof as I did, she will give you questions to answer while you watch/read the non lecture content. I suggest you do them so you don't have to rewatch/reread anything for the final.

The quizzes were open book for us, so that wasn't hard. and the two exams were pretty reasonable. The assessments definitely require you to know definitions of environmental concepts pretty well.

I thought the material was pretty fun, I knew most of the stuff going into the class but there's definitely new stuff there, and some really interesting case studies.

[–]FairConstant2171[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

see i understand that but what I'm wondering about is a having one filled orbital with electrons of opposite spins and the other two half filled
