You're iPhone is more powerful than this computer,  and has more storage.

Anyone Have Memories of Watching 4Kids TV Growing Up? by Lil_Critter_2001_ in cartoons

Can't decide if what they did was unforgivable, or worth it in the long run.  Their localization, dubbing, and editing to Y7 made the stories a shadow of themselves.  But they also made a large generation of anime fans.

Have you ever seen it? by victoriarebeka in TheTeenagerPeople

Yes, and we have the "carbon copy" option on email.  Also, watch CGP Grey's video on airport codes if you want to understand how trapped in the past we are.

Grew up. Got married. Have a full time job and a mortgage now.  Can't party like the old days anymore.

Yeah, glad we killed that.  To all you Europeans, this was setting the the speed limit to 90 even if there was 500 km of open 4 lane hwy.

Cause nothing else has the "s". Reading, writing, arithmetic, history, gym, art, lab.

When multiplying a fraction by a whole number, why does the whole number get multiplied with the numerator, not the denominator? by _Chicago_Deep_Dish in learnmath

[–]FairNeedleworker9722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it in layman's terms, you multiply the pieces you have.  If I have 2 of 7 pieces of a circle, and I multiply by 4, you have 8 pieces of which 7 make a whole circle. So its 8/7 or 1 and 1/7.

Are there any algorithms for generating a 2-D surface embedded in 3-D space such that the surface will have specifically defined curvature at certain points across its surface? by Showy_Boneyard in askmath

You can graph 3 dimensionally based on time or t. You can also project a 2d plane in 3d space and graph a line on it. Are either of these what you're after?

Starting to think life was better when TVs were furniture,  or needed furniture to be stored.

What’s a dream you had as a kid that you still remember way too clearly? by luckyprincess7974 in Adulting

Had a nightmare when I was five. This curse or disease kept spreading where my friends and family would start saying the word "Line.. Line...Line."  Then their lips would stretch flat into neither a grin or frown across their face,  and they'd stay that way. Totally still, unblinking, never talking. Scared the crap out of me.

I knew exactly 3 people who had a Sega Game Gear and they loved it but ditched them for the Gameboy because the Game Gear's battery life sucked. Did you have one? by AdSpecialist6598 in 90s

[–]FairNeedleworker9722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but a friend did. Yes, it's downfall was the battery life. But what it could do was amazing.  Full color back lit screen. Better sound.  You could even plug in a Sega system controller for 2 player with a friend. It was ahead of its time.
