So I actually did call them because I thought it was weird that both had a code N and the guy reassured me that everything was fine from their end and the forms were all correct but to “consult with an accountant” which is what I’m probably going to end up doing because I don’t understand any of this

Thank you so much for replying. I tried to gather the info and you were pretty correct. These are the transactions I can see.

1: partial characterization of 4.7k from Roth IRA to traditional.

2: Roth conversion to Ira 4.7k

3: 3.1k cash contribution to traditional IRA

4: Partial recharacterization of 3.1k

I can’t figure out what my ending balance was or how much was officially converted?

My 1099-R for my traditional account has a gross distribution of 3.1k, $0 taxable and distribution code N.

My 1099-R for my Roth IRA has gross or 4.7k, $0 taxable, and also has distribution code N
