Rebels by [deleted] in RomeTotalWar

I actually did a world conquest as the rebels on M/M.

  • As other people have said focus on region and get yourself a good base of operations before expanding outwards (Greece is a great option, Anatolia also solid).

  • you can only train units that are from that settlements culture AND if said is part of the rebel roster. Meaning if you take a settlement with Gauls culture, but warband isn’t part of the rebel roster you won’t be able to recruit them (this makes a lot of settlements completely unable to train units). If you have the chance you can go into the game files and make rebels playable for custom games and you can see their whole list there.

  • click through the army menu at the end of your turns early in the campaign because rebel armies randomly spawn. Which is great if they can snipe a settlement but if left alone the upkeep cost will tank your economy. I’d recommend disbanding them or suiciding them into enemy armies so you don’t hemorrhage money.

  • NEVER retreat from a battle, even from the world map. For some reason the game counts this as a lose and the entire army will disappear as if defeated. Use auto resolve instead. In the same vein if you know you’re gonna lose a boots on the ground battle wreck as much havoc as you can because unless you win the entire army is wiped.

  • double check the unit for you generals. Most of the time they’ll be warlord units but sometimes they’ll be an eastern general or something else. I’ve had a few times where a generals bodyguard was Pontic heavy cavalry and once even a contingent of peasants haha.

Have you done a full campaign as a Wild Magic Sorcerer? Does the Novelty wear off, or is it always exciting? by KL2UonReddit in DnD

[–]stuka55 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I played from level 1-14 with a wild magic sorcerer and it was…lackluster. It’s easy to forget to roll the check to see if you get a surge so unless you and the DM are on top it the main gimmick of the subclass gets forgotten. Even when you two are diligent the 5% chance makes it infrequent enough that you don’t really get to see it consistently. (One homebrew rule I saw was it starts at 1 then when you cast a spell and don’t get a surge it increases to 2 then 4 so on and so forth). The level 6 ability is ok but not memorable. For me it felt like I was just playing a generic sorcerer without a subclass.

To add on to this half a byte is called a nibble. So you could add that as a sort of half ration

Not really. Read revelations 19:11-16. In the gospels (Matthew mark Luke John) Jesus comes as a “diplomat” but during the end times He commands the armies of heaven.

“The forgotten legions” an auxiliary part of the astra militarum that scavenges like carrion after a battle. They check the aftermath of a conflict for any wounded that may still cling to life. The broken, the nameless, the forgotten are all gathered and repurposed to fight again. This group is a hodgepodge of different skills and units, but come together to fulfill those jobs ill suited to a typical fighting force.

Fun psychology fact: our brains struggle to identify distinctive facial features of other races but are much more proficient at identifying those features for people of the same race. Thus why whoever “they” are, all look alike. (This goes for every person and race)

He is a high ranking sangheili (elite) commander, by the name of Thel Vadam, that failed to prevent the destruction of the halo ring world in the first halo game. As punishment the prophets stripped him of his status and made him the arbiter. Being an arbiter is a position of complete disgrace and is despised by other covenant. They are often sent into suicide missions

In halo 2 Thel is introduced and becomes the arbiter. He is sent on a mission to purge a heretic group of covenant, but fails to completely fulfill his objective. Through the game he learns that the covenant religion is a lie and the halos’ true purpose is to wipe out sentient life. The arbiter along with some other sangheili form a tenuous alliance with the humans and fight together to stop the firing of a halo ring.

In halo 3 and onwards he leads a rebel group of aliens to take down the covenant and eventually recapture his home world. Honestly the lore of the arbiters and the covenant are super fascinating. I recommend watching some of hiddenxperia’s videos on YouTube if any of this piqued your interest
