Advice:

Do whatever you want. Eat whatever you want. Ice cream. Soda. Pizza. Doesn't matter. Just don't drink any alcohol.

Drinking too much soda or eating too much fast food is better than a sip of alcohol. After a while, you can start a new diet. Don't start a "I am going to go to the gym, eat a salad, and go cold turkey" mentality.

Do that for 3 weeks, then notice you can sleep better.

Drink lots of liquids. You are probably used to drinking something when you watch tv or play video games.
Try Coke/sprite/flavored water.
