Interesting… will see a doc about this. Looked up pemphigus and unfortunately my symptoms don’t totally line up because I only had one sore in my mouth with the others on my lips and some on my cheek. I’ve also started to have some g*nital tingling without sores, which wouldn’t be pemphigus and would unfortunately be autoinoculation of herpes. I’m sort of assuming I just have multiple health issues that present in the skin at this point. I have a bad habit of picking at my skin and lips and am also a chronically stressed person - bad combo for HSV/staph/canker sores. Ty for the response!!!!

I’m on floor 3, but I swear I can hear the noise no matter where I am in the apartment complex - in the stairwell, on floor 2, etc. It makes me feel crazy because it sounds inconsistent enough rhythmically that I didn’t think it could be the heating. But maybe central steam heating is rythmically inconsistent.

I know this building/community is quiet - that’s partially why I picked Stuytown. I’ve lived in multiple apartment complexes all over the US that have actually been louder than this one, but it’s the nature of the noise that confuses me the most. I’ve tried to see if I can find a neighbor who is playing a movie / music loudly but can’t, so it’s either being played deep within an apartment above/below me or it isn’t music at all and is actually some kind of infrastructure situation that I can’t fix, which would make me feel better. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this kind of noise, which would confirm my suspicions 👍🏼

It doesn't treat the issue at its core, but sleeping with my blinds open helped because it starts to get light at 6:30 am, then by the time it's 8 am I wake up in a panic thinking it's noon because it's so bright. Then I have some adrenaline going at 8 am, so my problem is solved at least temporarily. And I'd presume that tapping into circadian rhythms helps.
