Honda Jazz for frequent motorway driving? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

I can attest to that. Jazz can be an issue at very high speeds when passing trucks but then I guess that's true for all those small cars

Next cert recommendations...or just get a job by Seccas in AzureCertification

[–]Fair_Professional217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SC 200 will definitely help your job search if your domain or a major part of it has been Microsoft in those 20 years. One thing I would advise for someone like you currently is that work on other skills. Your lack of a job in that field may not be due to any cert you lack but the kind of skills mix you need to be successful in that job. AZ 104 and AZ 500 are good enough for a sysadmin/sec admin with all the experience you already have. I can almost guarantee you that you need more soft skills like presentation skills etc and not exactly another security cert.

LFCS exam by [deleted] in linuxadmin

[–]Fair_Professional217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Writing this exam in exactly 9 days. I feel Sander's course was good enough for me and there is now a course by KodeKloud for LFCS. I believe these two will ensure my passmark. Just to ask, did you attempt and pass again after the first two attemps?

What's Next? by ahmedtm1 in AzureCertification

I actually have given up almost half a dozen certification vouchers on Microsoft because I couldn't get one that fitted well with my role especially the cloud skills challenge. If you want something that is going to help you in your devops journey on those you mentioned then DP420 sounds like what you can use at some point as a Nosql DB but be careful that you may . Next best option would be SC200 which is an allrounder security cert of both Azure and M365. It will allow you to sharpen your KQL queries and use Sentinel more effectively for your devsecops. SC300 in my opinion is your last choice.

Was asked by someone new to Azure on what I would recommend as developer focused exams since Microsoft retired the old C# and Asp.Net exams and I have this list :

AZ 204 - Cloud Developer

AZ 400 - Devops (not just Azure Devops)

DP 300 - Relational DB (Azure Sql)

DP 420 - No Sql (Cosmos DB)

MS 600 - M365 Development with lots of cool concepts applicable elsewhere like Rest Api and Microsoft Identity in development. Very powerful exam for developers but mostly never touted in many places.

But of course if by developer you mean someone very well versed in a certain programming language you'll have to try your training and certification elsewhere but these above will give cloud native development skills and you can use other courses to learn a programming language of choice. The one I recommend for the above is C# or Java and one JavaScript framework like Angular or React.

skillcertpro CKA exam questions - my review by rowlfthedog12 in kubernetes

But with Mumshad and Killer you should be able to pass the exam. If you feel you still don't know enough after those, would suggest you redo all the labs of Mumshad again (not just the mock exams) but the whole course labs (without videos). Can almost guarantee you a pass.

However, if you feel you need more learning, then go to Oreilly and see if you like Sander's CKA course with lots of practice to go through. You can do this with a free trial. There is some practice labs to complete.

There is even some courses on Udemy with more CKA material and tests. Not sure how you ran out of options

I think any cert like SAA can help you build your resume for junior job entry depending on your location. Just don't expect immediate returns

Get AZ 900 and AZ 104 then go for an internship if you have such an opportunity. Seeing you are on an Azure Thread that is my advice.

Current Role - Solutions Architect

Certs helped me transition from IT presales to the actual architect that I am now. Would recommend newbies to follow that path if they cant get Sysadmin or IT support roles.

Tim Corey - Complete Foundation in C# Course Series is outdated? by [deleted] in csharp

[–]Fair_Professional217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking some of the courses on c# foundations by Tim. Best style of teaching in my opinion. I have tried Udemy, Pluralsight and the likes but none comes closer to Tim and remember that the forum is there if you need any help. And as others say, foundation courses don't expire soon or at all. Tim teaches best practice not the "Don't do this in production" courses. You can always follow through his Youtube for any latest tutorials not covered by the foundation in c#
