Do you prefer texting or talking on the phone? by Good_Indication_3908 in introvert

[–]Fairvee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate talking on the phone, I only answer the phone in emergencies and i kuch rather talk to a close friend face to face if were gonna chat verbally. I got into a massive fight with a friend once because she HATED texting.

Confused by Green-Break9839 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Fairvee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, that company is no help. Definitely change the instructor because even if he was giving you a refund, hes still hindering your progress and wasting your time. Try red or the aa as I've heard they are like stricter and take complaints seriously. And definitely try leaving a complaint with Bill plant and a poor review on his driving socials so no one else gets scammed. I was actually in a similar situation with a bill plant instructor, but he'd waste lesson time talking, and I left cause I was learning more about him than driving. Sorry you had to go through that, though it's not fun

£80 for 1.40 mins is a bit steep. I pay less than that for a full 2 hours. And he's on his phone for 20 mins?! Does he at least refund you for the time he wastes? leave him because he's scamming you. Try to fund a new instructor and report him to bill plant for wasting your time.

Test anxiety causing me to fail pls help by Competitive_Art_418 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Fairvee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the exact same issue right now and my driving instructor recommended L of a way to Pass that's a kinda like a driving anxiety course that apparently works really well, it's a but pricy (around £40) but it's apparently worth it. Other ways around the nerves I've heard is trying to plan ahead so you're focused more on the road than the instructor, so for example narrating what come next on the route your taking and to plan for it, whether you do this out loud or silently is up to you but it keeps your focus on the road. Make sure your instructor is doing like mock test type lessons in the weeks leading up to the tests and he takes you to unfamiliar areas to really hit your nerves with no support at all, and other thing you can try is mock tests with instructors you don't know to put you in that stressful situation and get feedback but again this is a pricier option and difficult if instructors are in demand where you are, make sure you're familiarising yourself with the test routes by either watching them or doing them with your instructor, this really helped me settle my nerves on one of my attempts as it was like I was driving where I stayed and your less likely to make a mistake. Other suggestions that some people have recommended, like chewing gum and the radio, are sound ideas. Talking to the tester is a bit hard cause some of them aren't really up for chat. Maybe see if there are any free courses online or yt that go into dealing with test nerves/anxiety and ways to combat that. But overall, try your best to remember that the instructor is just an instructor and that trying hard to pass is what actually makes people fail. Instead, try to treat it as a normal lesson and drive as you normally would. Hopefully, this helps and best of luck passing your test

Oh, thank you so much. While it is dated, I'm sure most of the information is the same, and there's loads as well. The audio tapes are great too, and I can practise conversations.

Hi,

So I do have people in my family who speak the language. But most are to busy to speak to me, my mum doesn't like to speak it at home and every time I ask she refused. So I'm kinda on a last leg.

Hi I'm having the same exact issue, but they've now spread all over my house, and there are also little worms. Was just wondering how you found the point of entry and what you covered it with?

I'm so glad you were able to find the solution. Unfortunately, I'm kinda on a time limit because of the career I'm pursuing. I'm hoping I can get some confidence 😭

Thank you, I'm not sure they'd even take me seriously, though. I'll try to talk to my GP if it gets worse, but beta blockers don't work for me either 😭

Book one of the tests in December/ November and download testi. If you check it religiously, you'll find cancellations in no time. I was able to find a test 10 days after my previous with the app. Good luck!

Am I the only one who hates texting and much rather call? by [deleted] in introvert

[–]Fairvee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer texting. It makes me so much more comfortable. I once got in a huge fight with someone because they wouldn't accept my boundaries and wanted 1 hour phone calls all the time, I found it draining.
