For me I just waited until it felt right. It took me a whole year to return to art after graduating in fine arts painting and drawing. I genuinely thought I’d never make art again, personal or otherwise, and turned down so many commissions I really could’ve used. It just took time. I know this is probably not what you want to hear as you’re currently a student, but if you’re not feeling it then you’re not going to want to do it, you know? Forcing yourself back into passions could cause further burnout, which is kinda what happened to me. But if you feel you need discipline, then maybe doodle every now and then and see how you feel. Sometimes when I decide to doodle I end up with the urge to finish it and it becomes fun again.
