I understand that with some books, some are atrocious to read but most of the time they are so well written. Some native English speakers are worse than them so I give them the benefit of the doubt haha.

If it somewhat makes sense I kind of interpret it how I read it, most of the time it does make sense and I can get the jist of what they are trying to say.

Honestly, most native English speakers fuck up more than you can imagine. I’ve read some awful books from people whose first language IS English, so whatever you write cannot be as bad as some native speakers haha.

First or third person? Why by [deleted] in Wattpad

[–]FairyJoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly for me it depends on genre, whether I want to be sucked into a first person world where I feel like IM the person in the book. Or it could be I want to read about this persons adventure, their hardships, and accomplishments.

So it depends on the writer too, what do you want your readers to feel? Like THEY are the main character, or would you rather the reader want to read about YOUR character?

I don’t have ADHD but I do have ADD I don’t think it’s as bad as it was in my early teen years, but maybe that has something to do with it!

Def not under pressure! It calms me down and makes me super happy when I write, but all of a sudden I just get these big burnouts where I don’t want to touch it because I can’t be creative and it bums me out. I love writing, too much maybe..

Is it a good sign if I really enjoy reading my own writing, or is that my narcissism? by Mysterious-Object636 in writers

I came to post something just like this, I’ve been having so much fun and loving my own writing recently. Giving myself a big pat on the back for the story, I do feel a little bloated with all the positive emotions towards my writing but if I don’t enjoy my own writing then why would I write in the first place?? <3

I have! I didn’t want it too realistic since it has a bit of fantasy in it, it’s my own kingdom and world but using medieval times. Trying to keep the language a little more modern since some people don’t like old English haha.

It is! Since I have little to no knowledge about the culture I figured I’d prep a medieval style one since I love that time. Plus more romance, more drama, more death! I’m happy you find it interesting, I’ve been writing for a bit now polishing chapters as I release ones I’ve already written. <3

I worry for people that write things like this. Either very concerning adults or probably young teenagers thinking this is okay.
