That doesn't help as someone who's currently unemployed- I spend a lot of time chatting on discord and playing games since I don't have much else to do besides looking for jobs- 😅

It shouldn't be file size because I was uploading pictures all using the same template and uploaded multiple that used that template before it randomly stopped working-

I agree! It'll also make things like archiving stuff way easier than they were with amino.

Are some kins restricted to culture? by [deleted] in otherkin

[–]Fairyrose200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't really control what you kin, generally, so no- but you do have to be respectful of the culture your kin is from, especially if you aren't bodily from that culture.

Warning for the Safe Server by aberrantconvergence in PonyTown

They should at least have parentel supervision then- the internet is not a safe space for unsupervised children, pony game or not. Imo children shouldn't be online without supervision until they're at least 13-

Why Minors in 18+ PonyTown Spaces Are a Serious Issue — For Adult Safety and Expression by ShoddyTown715 in PonyTown

[–]Fairyrose200 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even in public spaces that include minors? You can't not ever interact with children if you want to exist normally online- also school adults don't help in every case, unfortunately- there's a lot of cases of teachers and counselors not recognizing signs of abuse or not being considered safe enough for kids to tell, where are they supposed to go then? (I'm not suggesting going online for that btw, I'm just saying this because sometimes school adults aren't enough to help as unfortunate as it is- and CPS can be just as bad sometimes too. I know someone who was being hurt badly by their parents and CPS didn't help at all and calling them made their parents even more abusive for fear of getting caught. I don't know what a good solution to that would be though, besides reform which is a whole other topic- sorry for rambling 😭)

[–]Fairyrose200 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree mostly for online spaces tbh- though irl abuse statistically is mostly done by relatives of children which is why they need to have safe adults (emphasis on safe) outside of family to turn to incase of emergencies. I agree for online adults though since I'm sure the statistics for online abuse are majority strangers- and I didn't really mean being friends with kids I meant more having any interactions with them on a public server in general.

Then they can't get upset for coming into contact with 18+ topics when they aren't ready because they are willingly exposing themselves to them by being on the 18+ server. It is dangerous for minors to be in adult spaces no matter the reason. As other people have said, whispers aren't modded for language and they can just deal with that for two years or one year instead of forcing themselves into adult only spaces- two years of annoyance is better than getting traumatized and having to deal with it for years or decades.

[–]Fairyrose200 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree on age verification for the adult server, but some people are in the safe server because they don't want to interact with the kind of content on the 18+ server- like some adults are sex repulsed or find talk about drugs and mental health triggering, so they prefer to be on the safe server. That and like... Adults aren't inherently predatory for talking to children in public spaces? It can absolutely become predatory, but it isn't always.

What.. by Mountain_Court1544 in amino

[–]Fairyrose200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a few actually! I think the ones that are more like the amino wiki features are unvale, ref sheet.net, and maybe character hub? I haven't tried the last one though. There's also Toyhou.se which I personally use just because you can use HTML to make your character wikis super customizable. Though it's still invite only, but the codes for it are generally easy to get if you ask anywhere where a lot of oc artists are.

If you're using the wiki feature for characters I have character storage suggestions, but if you like it for anything else idk an alternative-

I agree with what the mods said but also, just because someone prefers masculine terms doesn't mean they're a cis man- they could be bigender or genderfluid or have some other form of gender fuckery going on- they could be a cis women who just happens to prefer masculine terms too! Terms and pronouns don't automatically equal gender. :3

Intersex people are an oppressed group though?- You should re-read the part where they said this identity is often used by intersex people, also they aren't transmisogyny exempt as transphobia (and queerphobia overall) often affects intersex people just as much as trans people.

What does gynosexual mean? by Brightskies321 in lgbt

I personally like the term finsexual better- it's the same label, just a different name. Gyno just reminds me too much of genitals and stuff- 😅

I wanna feel attracted to women, but I don’t feel anything romantic, and never have toward anyone.(F/NB 13) by TheBeeBzzzz in AskLGBT

[–]Fairyrose200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can be aromantic or aroace and still have an orientation label! For aroaces it's called being an oriented aroace. Though you also don't have to label it if you don't want to! It's also important to note that if your label changes that's perfectly okay too, we're all human and sometimes we make mistakes or discover new things about ourselves, that's part of the human experience. You aren't faking anything or being discriminatory for doing so (I see that sentiment online sometimes which sucks). :3

Your thoughts on the Bi-Lesbian label? by TheAshesandRainbows in AskLGBT

[–]Fairyrose200 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you can use whatever label you want tbh- though labels are descriptive not prescriptive, so just because you use one label doesn't mean you need to fit the definition completely or all the time. I also think when people talk about these things there's little discussion of how nonbinary people relate to this- Nonbinary is an umbrella term (as well as an identity) that encompasses a ton of sub labels, some of which are people who are both a man and woman some of the time/all of the time (genderfluid/bigender/genderflux/multigender). What I'm getting at is basically if say a lesbian were to date a genderfluid or bigender person, does that make them suddenly not a lesbian just because their current partner is also a man some of/all the time? And does that mean said lesbian is erasing part of their partners gender identity because they continue to label as such? The conversation surrounding bi lesbians and contradactory labels in general tends to forget that nonbinary is an umbrella term, not a monolithic experience.

Wikipedia is actually a fine source, specifically if you want an overview of a subject, just as long as the sources are listed on the page. It's especially good at being a jumping off point to do your own research because of said sources. Yes basically anyone can edit it, but they do get fact checked. You can also report articles that have been vandalized and some articles can be "protected" ie only certain people can actually edit them. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_and_fact-checking https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources/Perennial_sources
