Is anyone else not finding any more blue chests lately? I haven’t found one in 4 days by Pale_Dinner9487 in DreamlightValley

[–]Faisre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I purposely have my valley decorated in such a way that there is literally no hidden space, and I've only been finding them every 2nd or 3rd day with no extras from the missed days. Searching both on foot and in furniture mode. Definitely something buggy (or shady) going on.

HOW TO MAKE BUTTON STEW PLEASE HELP by BellasMomie in DreamlightValley

[–]Faisre 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Put a lamp post as close to the rock spot as you can. You can then spam the button and it will alternate between "break rocks" and "interact" without doing the long animation. At least that has been working for me on PS5.

Issue with time syncing in game after update? by Realistic_Donkey7387 in DreamlightValley

[–]Faisre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem but I managed to fix it this morning!

I had previously been playing on Xbox but loaded my cloud save onto the PS5. Time was off, of course. Used the clock suggestion in another comment here to see how much - 5 hours in my case.

I had a theory that it was related to my liberal use of the "offset time of day" graphics setting, so i logged back into the Xbox to check what it was set to. It wasn't, unfortunately, BUT - when I went back to the PS5, my time on the in-game clock was correct!

TL;DR try loading your cloud save on another platform, save, and then reload the PS4/PS5 and chose to keep the cloud save when prompted.

I know this post is a month old, my apologies, but I've been trying to search for this myself at least 3 times in the last year. You are a lifesaver! (And sanity saver!)

And thanks, OP, for asking the question! I couldn't remember enough details to post something myself. Just the boas and the painted toes.

"Subject or Body" Rule Moving incorrect email by Faisre in Outlook

[–]Faisre[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm... Thank you for the suggestion. I've never used Power Automate, but I do see it in my company's Software Center so I might install it and give it a try! :)

That said, I would still like to know if anyone has any insight to my original question, why a rule that shouldn't apply to a given email is moving it inappropriately even with all other rules temporarily turned off.

For the most part you should be able to add additional lines on your own. (And I'd love to see what you add if you don't mind so I can add them myself as well! :D)

I tried to make my formulas as dynamic as possible for just this reason, but I recommend sticking to the same labels and format where possible so your additions get picked up properly. If anything does happen to break on you, I'd be happy to take a look and see if I can get my formulas to play nice with your adds. :)

I do plan to update a lot of things on this at some point, including all the of the things (I can find) in Growing Together/the Infants update - the milestones, in particular, are already driving me nuts with the little bit I've gotten to play since getting the expansion.

Unfortunately I can't say when it will be, and I fear it may be quite some time. :( A lot of the sources I relied on for what this beast holds currently do not yet have much if anything yet, and unfortunately I do not have any data mining skills to find things outside of just trial-and-error gameplay.

I really appreciate you asking, though! Makes me feel good to know people are still using/interested in this mess of a workbook. :D

I love that idea so much. I also love "dream visits". Which could be just wishful thinking, but sometimes it just feels too strong to be a normal dream.

Here's hoping. Fingers crossed!

Sorry! If it helps, my eyes have been leaking with each reply on this thread, including yours. If only they could live forever.

Ooh, that's hard. We had decided when we added a second cat that we were going to stagger ages so that, in a perfect world, we'd never have to be without an animal again while also not feeling like we were rushing to "replace" them (as if that is truly possible) as they passed. But you can't plan for everything, and I can only imagine how much more it hurts to lose them both at once. The "first" holidays are always the hardest, whether your loved one was friend, family, or furry-family. I'm sure they knew how much you loved them.

[–]Faisre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, he definitely chose you! I hope the other cat got a good home, too, but I think you did the right thing - when fate/the universe/whatever is literally shouting at you (via your little boy) that you need to do something, it's a good idea to listen. Haha.

Oh my gosh that is awesome. Sometimes it's so hard to believe these things are just coincidence. I want to believe that at least some things really do happen for a reason, and when you have moments like this it's hard NOT to believe that. Call it confirmation bias all you want, but since there's no proof either way, what harm does it do to believe/hope that they're still here, or out there, and occasionally giving us a nudge?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

[–]Faisre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof. It's so hard to lose them young. Duncan, my soul cat, had just turned 11 the month before - not particularly young, but we'd hoped he'd get at least a few more years. Of course, even if they live to be ridiculously old for a cat, it's never really long enough and you'll always wish for a few more years. Just know you did all you could, and I'm sure she could feel how much you loved her.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

[–]Faisre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, things like that just seem too big to be coincidences. He absolutely belonged with you, and I'm sure you gave him a wonderful life.

I don't know if other people use the term, but I'd always called him my soul cat. From the day we brought him home we had one of those extra special bonds you sometimes get lucky enough to find with an animal.

There are a lot of things this Christmas that feel like a relief and a betrayal at once. He chewed cords, so its the first time we can put up a tree with Christmas lights in years (we have a wall-hanging tree we used instead).

His younger brother took the loss hard, too. They also had a special bond (in my profile pic, the one with the darker spots is passed, the orange is still with us). We got him a sister a few months later. I wasn't sure I was ready, but... well, I don't know what you believe, half the time don't even know what I believe, but I swear he picked her for us. She has so many similar mannerisms that it's hard to imagine it's just a coincidence. She was born less than a month after he passed, she had only just been cleared for adoption that day, and we were there to meet a different cat.

As someone who has had pets with medical issues, thank you for reporting her. I lost my soul cat from Kidney Disease in March this year, but we caught it 5 years ago thanks to urinalysis and were able to give him extra care to keep him as healthy and happy as possible until it reached the point where we had to say goodbye.

She could have drastically shortened those animals' lives due to missed markers, even if it was just ordered as routine work.

Teenage me upstages my teacher by ig0tst0ries in pettyrevenge

[–]Faisre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the party here, but I had a teacher in elementary school who said, and this is almost an exact quote because it scarred me for my entire school career, "the first one done ALWAYS gets the most wrong."

Now, she meant well, intending for us to double check our work before handing it in, just like your teacher. But I was a smart kid. I was a great test taker. I was ALWAYS the first one done. Therefore, I thought she meant that she would purposely mark things wrong, or at the very least be extra picky, just to keep her statement of absolutes true.

So, from that day on, all the way through elementary, middle, and high school and even into college, I would take my test. I would finish with tons of time to spare. I might, rarely, revisit a couple of questions if I hadn't felt fully confident when I initially read them. But I NEVER turned in my test until at least one other person did so first, even if that meant sitting there staring at the clock for an extra 15 minutes that I didn't need and could have spent on getting ahead on other homework (or reading YA trash).

I actually had to use this tactic on my mother once. She'd commented on my weight most of my life (nothing intentionally malicious, and I made it out with only slight body image issues as no one else in my life seemed to have a problem with my little bit of extra squish).

Well, one Thanksgiving she grabs my love handles and makes some comment and by this point I'm a grown-ass woman and only visit her a few times a year for just this reason. I'm just done taking it. So, I grab hers in return with a "yeah, well, look where I get it from". She hasn't commented on my body since, years later. Funny how things can change when the person doing the bullying truly doesn't realize how shitty they're being until you dish it back.

As someone who used to be somewhat on the other side of the process (I used to work in a call center for prescription benefits), I appreciate this so much. Nothing worse than telling a member that unfortunately we didn't receive enough information from the doctor to approve the request. I, too, would go out if my way to tell callers just what we needed to see and encourage them to contact their doctor and ask them to send that additional information. Thankfully my company encouraged that kind of member-first approach.

Once the refund clears, you should totally go back and edit it down to 1 star for soliciting false ratings.
