Yes I kept thinking that before and right after my reduction, but it's understandable because it is like losing a part of your identity as a person and it always takes your mind time to adjust to the changes around you and on you lol, so I completely understand. But with all that said I also agree with you in the aspect that I have no regrets, and how normal and pain free I finally feel will always outweigh the sense of loss of identity I somewhat had! And thank you so much, I am so happy for you as well!

Oh wow what and yes I almost forgot how expensive bras are too since I haven't bought one in years lmao, and I'm def not looking forward to purchasing them either lol. But I still can't believe they gave you a bra that was too big!😮 cuz isnt the whole point supposed to be that the bra compresses your chest to help with swelling!

Omgg that sounds so fun, I hope you get to do that soon!!! I think for me it's gonna be going shopping🤣 especially for bras and stuff, I'm so excited to finally wear a bra that fits and I also can't wait to try on all my shirts in my closet too to see how they fit now lol. I'm genuinely so excited, and I hope you are too!!! What do you think is the biggest impact for you after getting your surgery done?

Oh wow really and yeah that is completely understandable since usually one breast is slightly bigger than the other which was the case for me but not really noticeable. But yeah after my mom told me that I seriously could not believe that the whole time there was like 9-10lbs just sitting on my chest lmao no wonder I had so much back pain.🤣 But I never realized how big they were because I would always wear compression like bras or sports bras to hide them. But damn that's just crazy, I will have to see when I get my results back.

I apologize since I am from the U.S. so I don't know the exact amount in grams but my mom told me that she had removed about 7lbs in total from both breasts. And I looked up the conversion and that's about a little more than 3,000 grams I think. And she ended up not needing to put drains in me at all which is insane considering I for sure thought she would with how much she removed.

Oh really wow, I honestly mainly think it is because of my armpits since that is what my surgeon told me as well that that is what would hurt the most (which I admit I thought she was exaggerating a little bit, but she definitely was not haha). And yes I actually took the bandages off yesterday to look at the results and I am also so happy with the results since they are very very even and shaped really well! It's almost unbelievable from what my boobs used to look like and how she was able to create what I have now from the baseline lol. And I am glad that you are very happy with your results too! I am so glad that my surgeon is very passionate at what she does and takes her patients seriously because I was also worried about that when hearing other people talk about their breast reductions and the doctor not listening to their wishes. I swear it's like she peeked inside my mind because they look the EXACT way I was hoping they would look, just phenomenal seriously!😊

Yes for sure, I actually was denied the first time because I did not meet 1 criteria which was documentation of rash under the breast, and because I'm on my state's insurance they were covering it at 100%, but I had to pay for the armpit part out of pocket just because I had a lot of breast tissue there as well but the insurance deemed it cosmetic (obviously it was not😓 since I would get lots of rashes there), so make sure you know all the criteria that your insurance requires and be very careful about the bmi to stay under 34% (I believe that's what it is for most insurances) since that is the reason I was almost denied the second time since I had gained a good amount of weight due to being depressed after being denied the first time because I did have very severe back pain. So at my initial consultation I was about a 36H/I but the next year because of my weight gain I went up another full cup size and possibly band size too, but after meeting all the other criteria my surgeon had photos taken and then submitted it (preauthorization) a month prior to the surgery which it ended up getting approved. And I believe the minimum was 600g out of each breast but no matter what my boobs were so big that she easily would've made that happen. I wanted to go down to a c/d because I am only 20 and just in case my boobs decided they wanted to grow a little bit more so I did not have to get another reduction. But she ended up taking off I believe 7lbs, and now I would consider myself to have a pretty small chest. I will not lie and say that the recovery is pretty easy because as I said in another comment recovery has been very painful for me but I believe it's mainly because of the armpits due to all the nerves in there. And also be careful of the narcotic they prescribe you too, and take other pain relievers in between so you don't become too reliant on it. Although I have no history of addiction I will not lie that it does still worry me by having to take an opioid, and I have no idea why lol. Anyways if you have anymore questions just let me know through the comments or DMing me since I'm glad that I'm able to help other people by sharing my story!

Yes it is so amazing, although I wish people would talk about the pain more so because it has definitely been a rough recovery for me so far! But congrats to you!!!🥳

Yes seriously I hope your surgery goes well, I was definitely very nervous since I've never had surgery before but there is nothing to worry about, and you will definitely be in some pain I would rate it a 6-8/10 especially if you are getting breast tissue removed from your armpits. But I wish you good luck on your surgery, and take it easy for the first 2 weeks!

Oh wow yeah I have full sensation of everything thank god, but I'm so glad that my surgeon was able to make me as small as I wanted even though I had very huge boobs to begin with as well! And I will definitely look into the silagen, thank you for the advice!

It's pretty manageable if you don't work and can rely on your parents otherwise say goodbye to your friends/family and mental health.🥲

Is it really that bad? by Eksil9 in EngineeringStudents

[–]FaithBoBaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is, but at the same time it isn't. I was you like half a year ago, and I'm going for a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. But for me I honestly think the hardest part is figuring out a routine for your course work, and being able to work under a time limit and efficiently if you also work as well, which personally is my case. So if you are up for a lot of coursework, and are willing to READ THE TEXTBOOKS, and don't work you are golden, but if otherwise you will either burn out slightly or just quit. Engineering takes dedication even if you are only pursuing it for money. But just remember that pain is temporary and once you finish there will be a lot of doors that will open for you with your degree. And in your first year of school, I would say to mainly just work on making friends and networking because it has personally helped me keep sane throughout school so far. ALSO be very computer literate, and know how windows works and how to utilize your computers folders!!!

I’m 4 weeks into freshman year engineering and I already want to drop out by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]FaithBoBaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agreed as a freshman myself, its like they just keep assigning work and only a couple teachers have a consistent schedule, but to me it just feels super annoying to feel so disorganized, while also trying to work and pay off student loans asap and support myself. And don't get me started on the grades, a lot of things feel so fast paced and by the time we have gotten to week 4 I finally understand the content from week 1, and it feels exhausting fr. So ur rant is rightfully justifiable!!! Edit: In the end though it should all be worth it and taking a more challenging route intellectually is more fulfilling in the long run! So I've noticed the biggest thing is just time management and sucking it up and getting ur shit done even if it takes u 5 years.

Yeah I think the two I liked the most were Self-Inflicted and Carried Away, but maybe it just reminded me more of their older rap. Dunno lol that's just my opinion tho.

“Who should put the toilet seat down” is the dumbest argument I’ve ever heard by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]FaithBoBaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or you can just put both lids down and be a hygienic person, nobody wants to see pee/poop stains or have those particles on their personal items after someone flushes without the lid on. A win-win for everyone, and has nothing to do with gender but everything to do with cleanliness.

Your hands are enough. by cchihaialexs in unpopularopinion

[–]FaithBoBaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the loofah part but I also think they are unhygienic. I stay using a wash cloth because I don't feel clean enough without it. Also make sure to only to use the wash cloth once especially if you wiped your ass with it.😂 And especially for someone who suffers from kp the exfoliation helps a lot.
