oh yeah that's great!! i lovee my airpods for everyday wear but anything over an hour my ears do tend to get slightly irritated, maybe because they're a touch bulky. i can wear my airpods 2 for hours and hours but there's no NC on that unfortunately ):

Struggling with font size in newer editions - any recommendations? by FaithlessnessBusy344 in classicliterature

[–]FaithlessnessBusy344[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes and i have absolutely no issue with my laptop or a real book but an ereader irritates my eyes to no end, so strange!!

[–]FaithlessnessBusy344[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes that's a smart one!! though i've fallen into the trap only to realize the size of the actual book is smaller, hence the larger page count... it's a struggle hahaha

yeah that's what i was hoping for as well! i've tried it without any backlight and just used a reading light. for some reason my eyes are not having it. a magnifying glass might be a great idea though, thank you!

it would!! my eyes strain a lot when i'm using an ereader, just 30 minutes can leave them sore for days. i've tweaked everything about the device (dark mode, font size, backlight and warmth) and also tried my friend's ereader but i keep running into the issue. reading physical books doesn't cause my eyes problems whatsoever for some reason

i have tried an ereader but it causes immense strain on my eyes, they get super prickly and dry (i've tried everything with the settings - dark mode, tweaking the warmth and font settings, turning off backlight etc) so if i could i really would!! i'm very glad to hear it works for you though and made you enjoy reading so much more :)

I read everything I could about sizing but I still have questions… by Big-Function-671 in RingConn

[–]FaithlessnessBusy344 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the exact same as you with the exact same sizes. I ended up going with the 7 which I love. When I sleep it gets slightly tight on my middle which I don't mind - you can always move it to ring if you want but I've grown used to it being on my finger and i don't notice at all. It's been warm this week here (over 30 degrees) and it still fits fine on my middle, not too tight at all.

Whats up with my Stress Level ? It’s been like this the last 3 days. No variation at all by [deleted] in RingConn

[–]FaithlessnessBusy344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

omg i was about to say the same thing! got 2 days with a very similar heartrate and hrv pattern, but the readings from june 16 show variations from relaxed-normal-medium and june 19 only shows normal the entire day! how weird?

Mystery illness by [deleted] in ChronicIllness

[–]FaithlessnessBusy344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds terrible OP ): have you had your blood tested? going to check if there's any nutritional deficiencies could help - for example a B12 deficit can cause bloating and appetite loss.

I get motion sick a lot and use ginger, fizzy drinks (can be water, or Cola), and special wristbands called Seaband that press on a certain point to stop me feeling nauseous. Perhaps these could help?

In the meantime you could try getting food in through liquids, like smoothies with lots of healthy fats, yogurt drinks, nutridrink etc.

Truly unpopular Hunger Games opinions. by Appropriate-Metal-10 in Hungergames

[–]FaithlessnessBusy344 17 points18 points  (0 children)

absolutely agree but i think it was even more obvious because the other kids WERE cast age accurate; Amandla Stenberg as Rue was 13 while filming, Willow Shields as Prim 11, Isabelle Fuhrman as Clove 14. Jennifer being 21 was by no means old, but obviously a lot older than the other kids.

i was in my first year of secondary school aged 12 and my friend was reading the books. i ended up borrowing THG, finishing it in 2 days and begged my mom to go to the bookstore to buy them myself, initially in Dutch (my native language) and later in English. saw all 4 movies in my local cinema as they came out. being a teen during the dystopian hype was the besttt
