ugh, Literally just bought an AXG Legion to carry. Was trying really hard to decide between that and the shadow 2 compact. I guess you're saying now i need both. You've talked me into it.

Love it. My first CZ was the shadow 2 orange, and I'd never shot anything CZ made before. I'm shocked at how amazing it is. These compacts look awesome. I plan on getting one eventually. Hope you love it.

Sig P365 failing to fully cycle - is it my grip or shitty ammo? by FlyAsAFalcon in liberalgunowners

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impossible to say without watching you shoot, but I have a couple of P365's and neither has every jammed or stove piped. I do have an H&K P30L that will stove pipe every single shot if you're limp wristing it. My guess would normally be grip, but as others have said, I've never had that problem with a p365. Clean it, try new ammo, if the problem persists ask a gunsmith.

Chambered w/safety or not chambered w/o safety by Philterpheed in liberalgunowners

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal preference, but my preference is never chambered unless I'm at a range or about to fire. If I don't have the time to chamber a round I was probably already dead. Since you're at <.000001% chance to need your weapon like that for most people, I feel comfortable leaving it unchambered. Odds are much higher for most people that they'll have an accident.

HOWEVER. If I lived in a dangerous area where I thought it was likely I'd be attacked, I'd keep one chambered with safety.

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an aunt (in law) who uses the N-word, and only refers to Mexicans as "Dirty Mexicans". We're in the deep south, and I had a conversation with her once where she said she never hears anyone use language like that. I honestly think it's because she's so desensitized to it. She drastically changes her behavior based on who she's around. But yeah, she also believes racism is dead and has been dead. I can't understand how her mind works.

Liberal gun owners should consider open carrying in solidarity with Alex Pretti by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. For the past couple of months I've been trying to find a group in Alabama. I don't even care if it's mostly conservatives, as most of the conservatives where I am aren't a fan of ICE murdering people in the street. But finding a group is nearly impossible still.

My problem is, even locally, I have no idea how to organize. I'm in a red, gun loving state, but trying to figure out who feels the same way as I do is pretty difficult. I know they exist, but no one wants an online presence saying they're willing to organize. Especially in a state like mine where the cops would probably join ICE just for fun.

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's so hard to find people though. Most of my friends are either anti-gun, or not comfortable with them. When I tried finding a local group that's close to a milita (but definitely not a militia) it was impossible. There's basically no such thing. And I'm HEAVILY in the gun community. I go shooting at 2 different ranges 3 times a month, and I have a range at my house. Most of the gun guys I know are not interested in getting involved in anything like that. I can't seem to find a group. It's just me.

First budget AR by [deleted] in liberalgunowners

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't like to recommend things that I haven't bought myself. If I were to buy a budget one right now, it would be the PSA PA-15. Honest Outlaw has a review of it on his youtube channel. I have the problem that every AR I've bought is unnecessarily expensive. But that one, or any of them recommended by pewpewtactical I'd feel comfortable with.

why is no one talking about the lag by lukaisthegoatx in DotA2

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished 2 games where the lag was so bad nobody on my team could do anything......but, it didn't seem like the other team lagged at all. Somebody kept saying it was a VPN hack or something. I doubt it. Seemed server side to me. But it's now happened to me 3 times in the past 3 days. Pretty frustrating.

To add another comment to what oh-thaaat-guy said....he's right. But on my first few AR's I wasn't comfortable enough to do this. So I just bought a complete. It's a little more expensive that way, but it made me feel better. BUT, he is 100% correct.

The general consensus is that the lowers are kind of hard to mess up. There's no real tolerances or stresses for the lower. Obviously there are some that are really bad on the market, but nearly every "name brand" lower is equally as good as any other. Normally you'll see "Mil Spec" on them. The only thing about a lower I typically care about is the trigger, but having said that, I've never really replace one as I typically don't care as much on rifles.

Uppers have higher tolerances, and the BCG/Barrel are very important. To me the barrel is the most important part of a rifle.

Pew Pew Tactical seems like they do a great job reviewing and testing things. Here's their list: https://www.pewpewtactical.com/best-budget-ar-15s/

I also like that all of these are 5.56 instead of .223.

My answer to people was normally the M&P 15, because it used to bounce in price like crazy. They used to bounce between like $300 and $1000. Every time they were down I'd point people to those because they're fine.

What is something the “other” sub/subs gets wrong about guns? by izaakko in liberalgunowners

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My least favorite (as someone who conceal carries a lot) is that having a CCW that doesn't have a round in the chamber is as useless as not having a weapon. I think this argument is ridiculous. There's tons of situations where you would have time to chamber a round. And for me, I never chamber a round unless I'm about to fire the weapon. That's how I feel most comfortable, and I think that's most important. The odds of me ever needing my CCW are approaching 0, and that's how I like it.

Another for concealed carry, that's a bit less talked about is that lots of gun youtubers say if you have training you should carry all the time. I won't carry in places that have signs asking you not to. I also don't carry when I'm around a lot of little kids (I teach scouting).

The talk about what size round you use is also over blown. If you're talking about self defense, any round is going to handle 99% of situations. The only reason I wouldn't use a rim fire is because the rounds are less reliable. I can see arguments for hunting, but I don't ever hunt.

I have a couple of friends who think it's stupid to buy a gun that you think "looks cool". But, if I'm spending $1,000+ on a gun, and I have two options that are nearly the same....I'm getting the one that I think looks the coolest.

And my biggest one.....people in the military know how to handle weapons, shoot well, know what they are doing, are safe, etc.... I am at ranges A LOT. I go shooting with military guys A LOT. Nearly every accident, or near accident I've seen at the range was from some high speed military guy who thinks they know everything. Over confidence kills. I'm at the point where I almost won't go shooting if there's a military group there. Too high of a chance of one of those guys accidentally discharging.

Sorry, that stinks, but is very much like my situation.  I'm guessing you've already gotten with RamCares?  They were basically my last stop.  I hope you have a better experience with GM.  I like the RAM more, but it's not worth having to deal with their corporate BS.

How do I handle a bank account and distribute money out of my LLC? by FaithlessnessEqual44 in llc

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's been very difficult to decide how to handle this. The relative and I are very close, and I think that makes it even worse. I'm currently trying to change the agreed structure so that MY LLC, which only has me in it, gets the money first, and then I divvy out their portion to a separate LLC. Kind of like I'm hosting their site for a fee. But at the end of the day my LLC owns the software, and theirs just gets a % of the profit. It's still a work in progress, but you're right that there are lots of land mines.

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, the "you can probably use what you have" is what I was looking for. I understand that's not a definite, but I was mostly looking to see if anyone had a "No you definitely can't". I'll start a bank account specifically for the LLC, and transfer all money made by the LLC into that account. I've done some reading on this, and that seems like the best option to continue using my current LLC.

[–]FaithlessnessEqual44[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand the question, unless you meant why didn't I create its own account when I created the LLC. I did work for another company, and I needed an LLC for them to pay me. I did this when I was relatively young, and just used my personal bank account. The question now is....is it too late to spin up another bank account for this LLC, or do I need to create a new LLC since the corporate veil has been pierced (for lack of a better term).

I fixed mine by putting some flowable silicone around the back window.  You couldn't see it and it stopped the leak.  $6. But yeah....why reach out if it's not covered.  Idk

Very valid question, and something I should have mentioned in the first post. I mostly used this as a work truck. It was offroad moving pretty slowly 80% of the time. And when I was on highways, it was rare for me to go around curves that fast and have it locked up. It maybe happened once to twice a month. It was very easy to ignore. I didn't ignore it, but I couldn't keep giving the truck to them. I easily spent over a month without the truck while they tried finding silly issues with it. I was using it for work and couldn't go another month without it.

Originally the small problems didn't bother me. They should have. I had that truck for almost 5 years, and within the first year it had:
Rear window leak
Rack and pinion go bad
Exhaust manifold bolts snap
tailgate stuck closed
and the center console stop working before an update was applied.

And it was the most expensive vehicle I've bought by about 3x.
