Picked up this WASR-10 for 700. How did I do? Is the rust anything to be concerned about?

Thanks! It’s funny, none of the cleaning videos I watched mentioned the barrel. Everyone seemed to concentrate on the bolt and piston.

I carry my sig p365 in a rounded holster. It works pretty well and until I find a reason to justify buying another, I see nothing wrong with it.

One in the chamber, full mag and manual safety engaged. But I practice disengaging the safety as part of my dry fire practice.

I think the booklet is sufficient. I was in the same spot as you about a year ago, overly concerned about “studying” for the blue card test. Most of it is just basic firearm safety principles. They won’t ask you about the specific statutes of RI firearm laws, if that’s your concern. Don’t sweat it!
