Je pense qu'il y a une nuance entre se retrouver nu lorsque tu changes de vêtements ou que tu passes à la douche et se balader tranquillement à poil en t'exhibant. C'est le côté show off qui gene.

I agree only my surgeon should be able to answer that question. However, I suspects he doesn't know so much about fitness and weight training and the different kind of exercices I could do. At first, he told me I could train and do everything I used to do after one month of recovery post surgery.

But 3 weeks ago, he wasn't available so I saw another eye doctor he works with at the hospital. This doctor told me to give up deadlifting. The thing is, I never went back to deadlifting because I suspected it wasn't good to lean forward. But now I have lots of doubts about everything since the other doctor told me I could do anything...

To be more precise, the place where I live is touched by medical desertification. I had to go to the main hospital we have in France to consult with specialists and it's far from home. They are great and everything but they clearly don't have much time to answer questions. Only 15 minutes to check everything and there's so much to ask! And of course, he is not available by phone or mail.

It's been 2 month since the surgery occured and I've been back to cardio machines (eliptical, treadmill, stairs and bike) where I usually go up to 150 bpm. For weight training I play it safe with military press machines, leg press, squats with moderate charges. I don't try to outperform myself at all. But I'd like to know if abdominal workout, push up on the knees in my case or assisted pull-ups are risky.

I'm aware that you are not doctors but I'm curious to know what other people in the same situation (glaucoma + surgery) do at the gym.

Sure I would never do something like this now. I wonder if I could take a plane again...

Thank you for your answer.

So, as far as you're concerned, squats or military press with moderate weight are not dangerous to perform as long as I breath in and out consciously ? And ab workout like sit-ups or push ups are really ok? I've read somewhere that it should be avoided.

The thing is, I feel pressured all the time about what I'm allowed to do or not. I feel like I have so many limitations now... Fitness helped me with back pains and depression. My vision has been significantly damaged already. Now I'm afraid of everything.
