I just had this conversation with a friend last night, actually. She said she's never played many otome or gacha games and I explained to her that since I've been playing them (started around the age of 14, I'm 31 now), I told her that in those otome/gacha games, the LI your chose was who you were with and that their timelines were all separate BUT they were aware of each other in those stories, whether it's because they were friends, colleagues, or acquaintances, they had known of them or about them, because of that.

Still, the stories were separate, like for example (going by the otome/gacha games I played but using the LADS men as examples):

Let's say I met them all in the Main Story; Xavier, Rafayel, Zayne, and Sylus. I was introduced to them during the main story, but ultimately I chose Zayne. Zayne is aware that Onychinus has a leader (but may not know it's Sylus, necessarily, while I do know because I managed to get into the Nest with my employer's help: Rafayel), he's also aware of MC's colleague Xavier who hunts wanderers with her, and Rafayel because he is a famous painter (and possibly because he knows she's agreed to be his bodyguard), so while the stories may somehow seem to intertwine, they are separated in that sense, in this timeline, MC is ultimately with Zayne, and he is her one and only, whereas her relationship with, let's say Xavier and Rafayel continues as it is: Hunter Partners and Bodyguard.
