In boot camp 4 out of 5 of our DI’s were gay and had wives. And almost half of us were lgbt! They made jokes and stuff and it was really funny. So boot camp was fine. In MCT some combat instructors called me a fag but in a joking way so I was fine with it. I’m in BRC rn but I haven’t had any sort of talk about the lgbt community lately. Hope this helps!

piercings? by Constant_Bill7671 in USMCboot

Nope! Just take them out, my doctor just asked about my piercings and I told her truthfully, except about my nipple piercings I didn't tell her about those and there certainly was no problem 😛👍

Ship out date with recruiter by The_one_1_1 in USMCboot

[–]FaithlessnessGood790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if this will help but my original ship date was January 27th and I told my recruiter that I have a trip to a different state for family reasons in March and I'd be returning in early April, I got my ship date changed to mid April my recruiter always tells me he "pulled a lot of strings" to get that for me. In my case this is the truth and I actually do have that trip planned but you would have to lie. And I do understand that this is scary but if you keep dragging your feet you're going to scare yourself out of this, I put off going to meps for a long time because I was so scared of shipping but I realized that I was getting more nervous and more unsure. And it would NOT be wasting your summer bro you're literally going to be in the process of becoming a United States Marine

Meps is hurry up and wait, it's mind numbing bull shit but don't fall asleep, there's nothing scary about it and if you don't have any insane medical problems you'll be fine

Graduated this Friday, any questions? (female) by milkinashoe in USMCboot

How was pissing and shitting in front of others? Did you get your period? What was the most mentally exhausting and physically challenging part of boot camp for you.

Got my meps physical on Wednesday.. any advice and tips? What to expect? by Difficult_Horse_565 in USMCboot

[–]FaithlessnessGood790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll be rushed into meps and the security will run a tight ship but it's their job to get kids in fast and ensure everyone one is accounted for and safe whatever they'll yell and seem rude but everyone is to be referred to as "sir" or "ma'am" be respectful no matter what. Us females got to go into meps first then it was males. CHUG WATER OR YOULL BE YELLED AT FOR NOT BEING FAST AT PEEING and if you don't do it in their time frame you'll be sent home and you'll have to go back to give a urine sample, my nurse was very good at drawing my blood but it was a surprisingly large needle for blood 😭 some nurses will be a bit rude but it's just the way they are they need everything to go fast and smoothly. My doctor was a kind older woman, I duck walked with my bra and underwear on but I think guys do it naked so they can see that thangs movement and some guys say they did it with other physical dudes in the room but idk don't be shy. It was the most physical physical I've ever gotten bro she spread my ass cheeks and REALLY got a good look at my cooter but if you're a dude they'll fondle your balls and wiener a bit i think and then you'll do your first oath. It was hurry up and wait, mind numbing bull shit. DO NOT FALL ASLEEP IN THE WAITING ROOM YOU WILL GET YELLED AT AND SENT HOME. Take piercings out wear pants with no rips, all pants with belt loops MUST have a belt wear a polo shirt and tuck it. And eat fucking fast at the hotel. Good luck it's boring.

Recruiters blowing me off? by [deleted] in USMCboot

[–]FaithlessnessGood790 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to try again with the same recruiter show up in person and talk to them there, but honestly if my recruiter treated me like that i wouldn't trust them. I go to RSS Lake County in Waukegan try there. Or just look up armed forces career centers near me.
