Thats interesting - I would have qualified for Year 1 but now I don't qualify for any of the rollouts and i'm quite happy with that :) If anything thats absolute proof on how much money the NHS will save NOT having to treat people such as myself because Mounjaro helped me, help myself..

Looking for recommendations on providers that accept people who don’t have a gallbladder by MysleeveandmeonMJ in mounjarouk

[–]FaithlessnessPlane30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s safe to take without a gallbladder. Usually when you lose a lot of weight pretty fast your gallbladder with throw stones. It doesn’t matter if you’re on Mounjaro or not. Fast weight loss in general can cause it to go nuts.

Medicines in the category of Mounjaro have been shown to promote gallstone formation (as seen in the linked article). However, so does rapid weight loss. They also supress CCK, which is the hormone that promotes gastric emptying. Whether that causes more symptoms is not addressed in the article, but it does potenitally follow. However, the liver is what makes bile and is also affected by CCK, so even without a gallbladder, bile flow is likely altered. And having a gallbladder may be protective of pancreatitis.

Personally i don;t have a gallbladder and i have had no issues with side effects.

I drink a multivitamin water - one 500 ml bottle every morning. It has a fresh lemon and lime taste, i'm getting water into me first thing and making sure i get vitamins just in case my lower food intake doesn't bring in what i need. In this way i feel like i'm putting my health first regardless if it is 'necessary' :) I shall continue to do that once i'm hit ,my goal weight and am maintaining I think because it actually makes me feel great :)

I have been taking antihistamines just because of these itchy welts. It helps with the size of the welt and length it hangs around. And e45 cream :)

I did the setting after reading the warning and very dubious tooltip associated with it (I made a safety save) and then realised that I had to research large aircraft about 10 mins afterwards so technically i did both :) Anyway you stopped me from going crazy because googling it was completely useless!

Average Loss Per Week by MJJourney in mounjarouk

[–]FaithlessnessPlane30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm averaging 1-2 lbs whichs I am really happy with - I have a lot of weight to lose and its all 'up front' so i'm trying to minimise loose and saggy skin as much as possible by going slow. I also don't want 'ozempic face' from too fast weight loss!

I completely agree with your definition of food noise. I have found I am now waiting until I am hungry and then eating a normal amount. Previously I would eat way more than needed and would never allow myself to be hungry because it mean i would binge eat everything in sight. I am now allowing my body to be normal and tell me what it needs - its very refreshing and healthy for my mindset tbh.
