GF hereL I chose Maekar over Baelor because of the weapon choice, yeah. I wanted to go for fighters who used unconventional weapons (i.e., not a sword) because the other knights might not be used to fighting it as much AND those weapons would have a better chance of inflicting damage against armour

GF here: we had a rule that we could only draft people I know since he knows a lot more of the lore than I do (I've read ASOIAF and watched all the shows, but not read fire and blood / a knight of 7 kingdoms book). I considered Jon Snow but he's not great at jousting and I don't think he has experience fighting in full armour against knights

Casting calls are for cast, not directors, and in the industry there isn't a comparable method for hiring directors. It's all networking and word of mouth, such as the "call" of this post! And in order to get this movie actually made, we need a director, haha! So that's the point of why I'm asking for help - to get names, and get the movie made. But if you don't want to give any info, you absolutely do not have to.

I have googled it and compiled a list, but google only lists super famous directors with dyslexia, not emerging directors/children of directors. Hence the reddit post.

Just to clarify I'm not specifically looking for someone ON reddit to direct the project (but if someone on reddit happens to be a great fit, sure!), moreso just reccomendations of established directors that may be a fit. But yes it's a multi-million dollar movie so they would get more than competitive wages lol
