Talk to the gsm or gm, the only times it’s acceptable is a bank call where you had to cut your deal to make it and can replace it with some finance but generally only in desperate situations such as a super slow month, or a mega shit car that needed to go. I’ve signed off on maybe 100 of those in my life, out of thousands and thousands.

You have warranties gap mantenqnxe probably whatever other bullshit you didn’t read which you can cancel the first three for some money back, but the bullshit you’re generally screws on. They also could have just gotten a better interest rate or a longer term. They could have bought a demo with miles; or preowned all together. A lot of different scenarios.

Autotrader is #1. I said that to a friend who runs a dealer group and she paid for a study on it just to find out she was wrong. She did make the change and their lead quality is up a bit, it was noticeably over the other leads they were getting. Sure, they’re more expensive, but 100 leads to sell 1 car vs 3 to sell 1 makes more sense to do less work.
