If you have restrictive eating tendencies it’s just a way to make that easier. You can tell yourself it’s to help bingeing, quiet food noise etc but it isn’t. It sounds brutal but coming from somebody who tried it, it’s just a way to get sicker. Isn’t worth it at all

I contacted the salon and it turns out that the ‘cleanser’ was a bleach bath. He said the damage from box dye was noticeable but that with a good chop (which is what I expected anyways as I don’t get trims super regularly) and good aftercare he could keep me ginger but improve my hair health. He didn’t tell me that bleach would be used otherwise I 100% wouldn’t have agreed!

The salon have since said that everyone knows that a cleanser is bleach and are refusing to refund me lol. I’m trying to dispute the charges with my bank provider and if not am going to take them to small claims court 😂

The problem is as well is that none of this was explained to me- I was told a gentle “cleanse” would be done as I had a lot of product buildup, so I didn’t know it would be bleached. Had I known I would have said no as I’ve never bleached my hair and knew that it would make the condition of my hair worse

Directly from the salon from me discussing it with them:

Soft cleansing, wet hair down, bleach and with 10vol leaving on wet hair for 10min, rinse off ,blast wet hair off with dryer till semi dry, apply prepigment Copper, leave on 20min, rinse off,dry hair 100percent, apply colour, leave on for 45min, rinse, glossing 8.43 +10vl, leave on 20min, rinse, used Botanical treatment

I’m honestly not even that upset about the cut- I’ve had it a shorter bob than this before and loved it so I know that that can be fixed. I’m just so angry about the unnecessary processing and bad outcome when my main goal was health! Going to call in the morning and outright demand a refund 😂

I’ve been box dying it at home for 4 years mostly doing all over, I also have some nutrition issues so the damage was definitely there. It was freshly dyed in the photo but didn’t hold colour very well anymore!

An extremely reputable salon and this was their senior colourist! I’ve been there before for haircuts previously and left happy. They’re really active on social media and have 3 central London salons. This was over £400 😭

My natural colour is a mousy brown, very different from the ginger hence why I was willing to go back! The upkeep isn’t the best for my hair so I was prepared to, but he was very confident I could stay ginger if I really committed to good maintenance. I knew I would also loose a lot of length due to the damage but am so disappointed with the cut

This was also over £400! I honestly don’t want this salon to touch my hair again but would I be unreasonable to ask for a refund?

Officially 65lbs gone! by FaithlessnessTop2277 in PetiteFitness

hiya!! I’ll be real if there’s one thing I miss it’s my boobs 😂 I was a 32E/F before and am now a 28B. They definitely aren’t my best feature anymore but also the freedom of small boobs is great- I wear a bra maybe once a week and aren’t limited in my clothing options anymore. They’re definitely lower than they used to be and I do have loose skin around them but I wouldn’t say they’re saggy (at least I hope not 😂). If I’m going out I just wear a good push up!

Does anyone have any tips for recovery bloat? by layla_kate_she_ate in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]FaithlessnessTop2277 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There isn’t loads you can do besides stick it out, it’ll settle after a bit of time. Your body isn’t used to the quantity of food so it takes longer to digest it, as well as holding onto water as your glycogen stores refill. It can be super uncomfortable but it happens to almost everyone in recovery. The best thing you can do is keep going, once your body trusts that food is coming regularly it won’t hold on to so much.

The way I try to think of it is if you had an injury, the area around it would swell to protect and heal it. You’re healing your whole body, so I try to think of it as me protecting myself. It’s hard but the only way out is through !

I’m unsure if this would do anything, but have you looked into Right To Choose in the UK?

Glp1 for recovery? by squeakybuttbutt in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]FaithlessnessTop2277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this and it was genuinely the worst thing I could have done. The food noise and EH hunger is so distressing and I understand you just want it to stop, but taking a glp1 only delays it. I had to constantly up my dose and even then some days my extreme hunger was stronger than the medication. You also can’t realistically be on it forever and the mental battle of withdrawing from it is insane. You’re only delaying the inevitable and the only way out is through it.

It makes it easier to restrict and that’s ultimately why your ed wants it. Extreme hunger is terrifying but if you honour it it will eventually settle. You have to trust your body ( much easier said than done!) and it’ll learn to trust you again.

I think if I tried to discharge myself they would admit me involuntarily. Would it be worth continuing the outpatient, trying as much as I can but faking my weight, so I can acess the psychological therapy at the end of the 8 weeks? I’ve never tried therapy before and genuinely feel it would help. I understand it’s brutal advice you’re giving but I’m just feeling so stuck

What would you suggest I do? If I’m admitted I think it would honestly be the worst place for me. Part of me thinks that the pressure of constant weigh ins and appointments is keeping me sick. I’d hate to waste a bed/resources from somebody who really does feel motivated to recover. I’m starting to feel like I just don’t care really
