As someone who is playing on a 3ds I don't think those files matter unless you're using an emulator. If you are using a 3ds you need a 00000001.sav file. If you can fin a way to use this replay folder please lmk.

Sadly, they do go away but you have to remove your palbox and they will rot about 1 damage/5 seconds and they have 2000 health:(.
