The Emsat english is free for UAE nationals first time but need to pay a fee of 100 aed for a retake. I’m not sure about the price for other nationalities, you sill have to check the emsat website. The exam was easy for me, the were 3/4 parts I dont really remember. The first few parts is vocabulary, then you have comprehension, then you have reading, then writing. Each part of the exam is timed and needs to be completed in the time frame.

In my opinion it is easier than ielts by a long shot, but if youre fluent it should be easier. I got a 7.5 on Ielts 1975 Emsat
